What is you use a move that in the games always inflicts a stat drop/status if it hits? Like Low Sweep's Speed drop or Zap Cannon's Paralysis?

What do for Abilities that cause Status by being hit by Physical type attacks example static ?
so would it be an extra dice after the dodge dice failed? if so the games put these abilities at a 30% chance they will work so you have a starting point

the abilities Poison Point, Static, Flame Body, and Effect Spore only activate when the pokemon with the ability is hit by physical contact from moves like tackle for example player 1's Squirtle uses Tackle player 2's Pikachu dodge failed and Pikachu's ability is Static so would player 2 need to roll a 1-10? or player 1 need to roll since it's their pokemon who gets the status? 1 ability fails 2 ability fails 3 ability activates (Paralysis effect spore) 4 ability fails 5 ability fails 6 ability activates (sleep effect spore) 7 ability fails 8 ability fails 9 ability activates (poison effect spore) 10 ability fails

Polio new things you missed:
What about evolved pokes? If a flying dragonite is flying, why does his power scale the same as a dratini? Secondly, wouldn't the ground type have a harder time hitting an adept flyer and wouldn't an evolved poke take more hits? How do you incorporate protect?

I say Detect and Protect always works ONLY on the first time between moves, but if you use in more than once in a row (like first move is Protect, then second is Protect again) you have to use dice.
And always status/stat drop moves always effect with secondary effects work on both full hits. And evolved Pokemon should be able to stand more hits, along with Pokemon being hit with types their resistant to. 2nd stages take 1/4 or 1/3 damage than a 1st stage, fully evolves or 3rd stage mons get 1/3 from 1st stage or 1/2 from 2nd stage attacks depending on what was rolled. But only from 1st stage mons. 2nd vs 2nd not-fully-evolved mons do normal damage as does fully evolved vs fully evolved. And as for typing, ground type moves only don't effect Flying types if they're actually ground-based, but ones like Mud Shot can hit him, just for less damage like in the Mystery Dungeon games (It does less than resistances). Ghosts, Normals, Steels, Darks, and Ground types always have immunities to Normal, Fighting, Ghost, Poison, Psychic, and Electric moves, unless say a Psychic/Fighting/Normal user flings an object at a Dark/Ghost type, where it will also do not much damage. Ugh, I might need to reword this Dx

I thought that was already in effect o.o, but there is too much of a gameboy expereince here. I know having flying meant little more than ground immunity and insta kills for plant types, but maybe it should play some factor here.
The evo thing is tricky, how do you define twice as much?

I was saying Flying types only get Ground immunity from earth-based moves like Earthquake, Magnitude, and Fissure, but not Mud Shot or Mud-Slap because you're flinging stuff at them.
What do you mean?

e.e Mud doesn't fly that much. xD
Well if you say evolved pokes can take twice as much damage, then does that mean evolved vs evolved take twice as much, or just evolved vs first stagers? Secondly, there is no number to put on any poke fainting, sooooo it's kinda a blah statement. I guess we could assign values like First stage: 8 normal hits 4 super effectives 12 uneffectives Second stage 16 normal hits 8 super effectives 24 uneffectives Third stage 32 normal hits 8 super effectives 48 uneffectives This is just an example, but it poses balance issues( pokes like arcanine are sucky while any two bit three stager is good) and the numbers can be dicey

And the Mud or other flinging stuff would still hit depending on the outcome of the Dice Dodge. Oh, that could work. But for moves that do 1/4x damage, it would take 16 hits because of even less damage than 1/2 from an attack. So say First stage: 8 normal hits 4 super effectives 12 resistances 16 double-resistances (Second stage 4 normal hits 2 super effectives 6 uneffectives) Third stage 32 normal hits 8 super effectives 16 uneffectives (Are the numbers off? They're smaller than the younger stages) And not only that, but there are also certain Pokemon who have devastating offensive stats while others can take hits like it's nothing.

>.> I fixed it afterward your post.
I suppose that makes sense, but it still doesn't address the issue of third stagers having an advantage over all 2 stagers. For instance, gyrados, one of the fiercest pokes in the game. Don't get me wrong, both points are good except that fact.

Oh, I didn't mean fully evolved 2 stagers are weaker than 3rd stagers. Fully-Evolved 2nd Stagers are on the same level has Fully-Evolved 3rd Stages, but 2nd Stagers who can still evolve are not.
So Gyarados and Ninetales are within the same rank as Blastoise and Staraptor. But not Monferno and Cascoon because they can still evolve one more time.
