MyBB plugins and mods

I need help. =(

Now, open your FTP server (hosting control panel) and go into the MyBB folder (the forum files).

After doing that, import the plugin. There are different ways depending on the plugin. Labroccas plugins always come with great instructions.

First of all. What's a FTP server/Hosting control panel or whatever?

How do I open that?

I think I can handle the folder and import part.

I have everything else pretty much pat down.

This might be better asked over at mybb.com, as they'll know, but I'll explain.

FTP is File Transfer Protocol. When you upload files to the hosting server you are using, that's you using FTP. Hosting Control Panel is a panel that you can use to manage your site such as creating databases, modify them, create and access webmail accounts for your site, etc.

You need an FTP client such as FileZilla to transfer files via FTP. You can use a web-based version provided by your host, but FileZilla is better for this.

To open your FTP server, you simply connect to it via FileZilla like this:
Host: yourdomain.com
Username: usually the username provided by your host.
Password: either the password given by your host or your own one.
