New Posts Exclusion

I know it bugs people when there are people posting in character talk games, and there's no way to really ignore the posts in the new posts box because the forum exclusion only counts in the forums display, not in new posts.

Is there any way to set it so that character talk games doesn't show up in the new posts box and you have to physically go to the forum to see it?

Unfortunately not. New Posts counts posts that are unread in every single forum. The only way to change it would be to edit the PHP files and add own code (this probably wouldn't happen because for every upgrade, your code would have to be reapplied)

And then people would start asking for every forum they didn't like to be excluded, and it'd go on forever.

Then there'd be an uprising to bring back a fully updated new posts page, because the oppressive higher ups took it away, and there'd be a rebellion, and signatures, and we'd be right back.
