Anime Dream Team - Team Registration

This is kind of like fantasy football, but with much higher stakes.

Here's how it's gonna work:

1. You have to name your team.

2. You have to pick 3 anime/manga/comic/game characters for your team. Please include which series they're from in () after their name.

3. You may pick up to 3 alternates for your team, in case something happened to someone on your team, or they ended up being killed by someone else on your team.

4. You have to give a short description of why you picked your team.

The characters may be from Viz properties. If none of them are, you can still choose them, but you will hurt my feelings

When we get enough of them, we'll start VS topics pitting the teams against eachother in situations ranging from deathmatches to grocery shopping.

Reasoning-
Luffy's got more enthusiasm than anyone else in anime, and is good at a distance. Lee man's up the most, and is a beast at close range. Lupin's good at stealing, and can provide the crew with babes and money, in that order. I love their names as well.

*Your team doesn't necessarily have to be for fighting. It could be a team devoted to chilling, preserving natural resources, or laughter, for example. It just needs to be a team with a purpose.

Luffy well... same reason as SRhyse. Tsunade because she will literary crush the enemy. Madara because his amaterasu will burn anything to ash.

Reason for team members: You see, Roy will astound them with his gorgeousness, Train will shoot them, and L will say something justice-y. Because they are that awesome.

Chose them cause Aizen is really powerful, Gogeta well he's a fusion of 2 of the strongest sayians in DBGT and pain because he has the rinnegan and is also powerful.

Why i chose that team:
Zack is a hero and a great leader i think as the QB as to speak he could help lead the team twords victory

In Higurashi Satoko is a Trap master and traps are always good to have anytime

and Jim is Very smart while the other 2 are smart as well he would be more focused on just what to do aka the Brains of the operation

Why i chose my alternets:
Light: is a very smart man and he knows what he's doing and whats going on with very little in site

Kazuki: is more of the back up QB he's got great leadership i think and is quite strong

Pain: Shinra tensi 'nuff said

Keiichi: is the number one beliver in FATE and how you can shape your own

Shikamaru: basicly a mix of Jim and Light so thats why i would choose him

Lucy: Basicly if killing lots of people in the first few min of the ep wasn't enought she's just that aweosme

Reasoning:

I picked Shikamaru becuase he is wicked smart, Karai because he is wicked strong, and The Fourth Hokage becaues he is wicked fast and wise. I'm covering all my bases. I picked my alternets cuz Nine-tails Naruto could wipe out the state of CA and Ichinosay is really determined and Zabuza is just plan cool and he can kill really silently for assationations and stuff.

Team Epic!

Members:
1. Tenten (Naruto)
2. Yuki (Haruhi Suzumiya)
3. Kon (Bleach)

Alternates:
1. Sakura (Naruto)
2. Haruhi (Ouran High School Host Club)
3. Urahara (Bleach)

Why I chose them:
Tenten has weapons, which could be very beneficial in a battle. Yuki can take care of any computers that need hacked into, and she is incredibly intellegent. Kon is there for comic relief. As for the alternates, I chose Sakura since she could fight or heal, depending on the situation. Haruhi has common sense, which is a good thing for a character to have. And finally, Urahara, since he could invent some crazy device or come up with some money making scheme.

Why? They are the main characters of my favorite animes/mangas and they tend to be the strongest fighters in their franchise. They also influence the world they live in tremendously.

Once there's atleast 10 pages worth of teams, I'd say. Maybe like 20 teams?

And when we do, I think it'd be fun if the people that made a team weren't allowed to argue for or against their team's battles, it'd be up to everyone else on the thread to decide how well they did against whatever team they went against. I wouldn't be able to argue for L3, for example, nor you for Fighting Soccer Ninjas of Beastlyness. Still undecided how it'd work, however, and I'm up for anything in regards to that.

Any thoughts on how you'd like it to go? I'd like to avoid any and all numbers, if possible. Just fun, community argument/conversation threads that anyone can jump in on.

I agree, having the threads full of "my team is better than yours" might be a little...well, you know, annoying.

I think a good way to organize it would to have a bracket, stating vs. (team against team) and the challgne. Maybe a couple teams a week can go at a time. After that well, I don't know. But I hope that's helpful!
