Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor

I just got this game yesterday for my ds. I really like it so far! I was just wondering if anyone else on the forums has played it? I'm only on Day 1, and I'm about to fight Wendigo. If you can help me with the fight, please do. But I just made this thread to discuss the game. Also, this is my first Shin Megami Tensei game, so, can you tell me how it compares to other games of the series?

Yep played and completed it.

About Wendigo there are 2 Fights.
At the Cemetary:
Leave it Amane cause she's epicly strong.
Once defeated it runs away.
Later:

Spoiler:

First of all make sure you crack Ice Dance with YUZU as she is your primary Mage at the start.

Then take out the Moh Shuyuu as if you don't they can turn out quite troublesome later.
Best would be with Kabusos.

While running from Wendigo defeat the Waira Group.
With these 2 gone Wendigo will be much easier.

Then move on to Wendigo's Group.
Defeat the Moh Shuyuu first as fast as possible as they will pretty much always shield Wendigo from Death when its close to defeat thus causing it to turn the tide.
Also make sure to keep your Healer's allright so they can heal you in case of an Emergency.
Hero's Agi works well against Wendigo so don't waste his MP with anything else.

There is also a Group at North with Kobold and Pixies but they are weak.

If you have trouble with this try to grind/lvl up a bit with free Battles.
Also make sure you defeat Wendigo with Yuzu cause if you don't she won't get Ice Dance which is quite the good Spell.

The other ones are rather different.
Devil Survivor is a Tactical RPG.
Strange Journey is a Mix of Dungeon Crawler and RPG.
Persona ones are in the Style of Final Fantasy mixed with being a Life Simulation and easily the best with the 4th Game being one of the best Games ever made.
That said Devil Survivor is one a of a Kind in its series.
At least I havent seen another SMT Tactic RPG.

Yeah, I was choosing between Blazblue CS, Persona 4, or Devil Survivor. I decided to get a SMT game, So the guys at the store flipped a coin to decide, it landed on devil survivor, so that whatg I got. Sorry to bore you with my story . And thanks with Wendigo! I'm gonna try that strategy right now!
