Default Sun Tzu's Art of War RP (Read Before Declining)

Inspired by the legendary general Sun Tzu himself and his book ART OF WAR, I bring you the closest you can ever get to leading an army and planing strategies in this forum. This is just a quick introduction to this RP and if people are interested I'll make the introduction bigger.

Sun Tzu's Art of War Role Play!

Quick Introduction:
Each user controls over 5-10 warriors (must decide on a set of number before going to war) and go to war against another member and their 5-10 warriors. The warriors must be created by themselves. Just like RockyL and myself created our villages own NPCs (which can be found here) but that was just for show, but here we can have anyone create their own armies and conquer other armies or land. This RP will also have a main story and map (Ex: The Samurai army traveled to the Northern East and defeated the Senshu Army and conquered their land). Each army must be created (ex: Click Here) and each character must have a name and picture/description and they must have either a background story or a small bio saying whats his/her name and what they do, or whats their rank in the army. Also, each army needs a name.

Style of Fighting:
Their will not be no one-on-one battles. You control all your 5-10 warriors all at once. Still, the battle will be created through Narrative ways. The main thing that I like about this is that there's no magic involved. It's something we Bleach Freeverse fighters like to call - "Duel Mode". Only hand-to-hand/weapon-to-weapon combat. Meaning only using the powers of a human. Still, arrows can be used, and any other weapon, such as Kunai's, Paperbombs, Shuriken, Katana's, Smoke bombs, or any other weapon that doesn't involve magic (Take note that you can create your own weapon for your army and if it's used in a battle and it seems unfair somehow, the users weapon will be banned from our RP). I think just because no sort of unfair magic is involved its going to required better narrative skills in how the weapons are handled, or thrown. Even animals can be used such as, horses, elephants, wolfs (etc). Also all armies do not have to start in a standard formation. Meaning they don't have to just clash each other and who ever is left standing wins. No. You are free to do whatever you want. Another thing that is cool about this is that each army can do strategies. Due to the fact that this RP focuses on the strategies Generals used in real-time battles, such as the man himself - Sun Tzu. Like hidden units who pop out of no where in the middle of the fight. Or you can have an arrow units rain death at their enemies, or hidden ninja units, or even animal releases like elephants or wolfs. Or they can set the story different, like they can have one army going through a jungle and it ends up being a ambush. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Simply, HANDLE THE BATTLE HOWEVER YOU WANT TO.

Here's a quick example:

Ex: Toshiro Katsumoto, the head general of the Samurai Army finally gives the signal to attack by swinging his hand down, making the Samurai Army charge at the enemy (blah, blah, blah). The Senshu army see's their enemy charging so they do the same and charge. The amazing roar from both armies can be easily be heard half a mile away. Finally, both armies meet in the middle of the long grassy battlefield. Hence Katsumoto is in front he gets the first swing, and he does so, a strong swing down attempting to slice the man in front of him. The man turns out to be Kensei, the commander of the Senshu army. Kensei easily blocks it with his own sword and with the same momentum he delivers a strong kick to the midsection of Katsumoto, making him step back. By this time, Katsumoto's right hand man, Ashigaru find himself thrusting his blade through one of his enemies torso. He then notices that is Jireri the one he just killed and swiftly makes his way to another enemy.....(blah, blah, blah).

I hope you make it a lot more exciting than that

I would had like to add more like, arrows and ambushes, and hidden units. But I'll just bore you to death with my narrative kills but I hope you understand my main point.



Money System:
Yes, a money system. Like every tribe, clan, and army, money was one of the biggest factors in their faith in a war. So I've to add this in here. Simple guys, when you win a war you win a certain amount of money. With this money you can buy advanced weapons in The Weapon Store (which will be created soon) or you can buy a Ninja Unit that can help in ambush attack or however you would like (and more). The maximum amount of $$$ that a General and his army can win is - $5,000 per battle. Generals can of course raise the amount to whatever they would like, but they must have the money to gamble it. (ex: General Katsumoto has $10,000 and he adds $4,000 from his own pocket to the original gamble amount ($5,000).

Judging Wars:
Of course, like it takes a page from the BN System itself there's always a need for a judge for each battle. The judge determines the General who's Narrative of the battle was more accurate and more "clever" in using their environment better, and/or how they wield their weapons. To make a long statement short, who's narrative of the battle is more "interesting" to the judge. So be sure to use every sort of strategies in your book, and make your narrative the most interesting. But, like this RP is just beginning I'm the only available judge for this RP, so far. Later on who ever asks me to become a judge can but I'll first have to decide to present them as judges or not.
