I liked the original Superman better than the original Batman, but the current Batman better than current Superman.

The original Superman was a dick, and it was largely humorous. He wasn't really this iconic hero that wanted to save everybody, he was just a white collar guy with super powers that used them largely to get even with people and ruin their day. In the first issue, he went to a dance with Louis, where she was seen to dance with another man. After, Superman ran down the dude's car on his way home, chucked it in a river with him still in it, then ran away on some power lines (he couldn't fly quite yet). That stuff was a realistic depiction of an angry southern guy with a poor education but lots of ability.

Batman wasn't even really a character until they remade him. He was just some dude in a bat suite with no real substance. The modern Batman though, as in more the movie going 'Bale' versions of him and the comic 'Miller/Pope' versions of him, are pretty tight. He's an actual guy, as opposed to Superman, who's more a plot device at this point. Supe's latest movie was the most expensive turd I've ever seen. You know who beat Superman up the most in the latest movie on top of all that? Kumar.

I mean WTH.

Ugh, of course Superman! Batman just uses technology and gadgets for his "powers". That's cheap, man! I agree that Superman is overrated (I actually watched a documentary on the Superman franchise, and his powers have gotten tremendously more "super" over the years >_>') but still.
