Who would you choose?

If a man came into your house and held a gun to your cat and a gun to your sister and told you you could only save one of them. Which one would you choose?

(if you do not have a sister feel free to substitute any other family member that you love)
(if you do not have a cat feel free to substitute any other pet you love)

I don't have a cat so it would have to be my dog....That's a hard choice. I'd have to say my sister though. -knocks on wood-

Yes, but the shooter will only kill 1 of them and you have to choose which one.

I choose neither. Or both. I would do my best to stop him from hurting anyone/thing I care about.

Now if your going to restirct me to such limited options, I'd let my cat die( I don't have a cat though). I'm allergic to them.-_-

The sister. I might mourn for my pet for a great deal of time but new ones always find places in your heart. My sibling is something else. I would save them over anything in the world. Although pets can be more emotionally attached to their people and vice versus. The Cat might be someones only strong emotional attachment. These people should choose to save the cat as it will help them get over the grief better than the sibling

Hmm Lets shake the topic up a bit. What if in this situation your sister in question had terminal cancer and only a few months left to live? Would you have her put out of her misery and grieve for a long time or have the cat shot and your sister comfort you for a short time before she is gone? I am just curious as to peoples responces.

My cat is awesome. Literally one of my "companions". If I ever feel down, he comforts me. Which is something i can't say about anyone else.

I despise my sister. She represents everything I hate. She's a tool, and a slave to society, well in a way. My sister acts more emo or independent than I do, but that's just to fit in. I would still save her though. Human > Animal.
