He left the village because the village didn't appreciate his "art, he later joined a anti-government facility which he was hired by people to set off explosions, and I believe this was all happening when he was 13 or something, they requited him soon after Orochimaru left Akatsuki, and Orochimaru left 7 years (9-10 years in Shippuden) Prior to the storyline and we see Deidara as a 16 Year Old in Part 1(Hologram though)

19 Year old in Part 2 so when Oro left Akatsuki Deidara was wow, 9, so 13 is still 4 years later which means when we first see him as a hologram he was only 3 years in Akatsuki, wow Deidara is sure young...

He is from the land of earth..(i think) which can be found at the HIdden Stone Village..but the weird thing here is Deidara's Forehead protector sign..
Its different from other Iwagakure ninjas..

Deidara's Village is the Hidden Village of Stone and Deidara left his village because he tried to fight Itachi and lost so he had to joined Akatsuki Clan. Then he became Sasori's partner.
