The People vs Sasuke

For a good while he was dependent on or took advantage of other people's power through things such as the Cursed Seal or absorbing Orochimaru. These gave him significant boost in power strength, not that he didn't have any to begin with of course. It's just he got powerups rather easy while other characters (especially Rock Lee, who didn't even have the ability to perform jutsus to start with) worked their butts off to get stronger. He still trained, it's just that I don't feel he trained as hard as others, and that everything just came way to easy to him.

I definitely disagree. Sasuke has always been one of the most versatile fighters out there. He can fight on his hands and knees, turn any position into an attack or defensive stance, and lay traps perfectly. Remember when he fought Orochimaru in the Forest of Death? He was a lowly Genin, yet he was able to trap a Sannin in that wire and use it to melt his face with Dragon Flame Jutsu. Yes, it didnt defeat Oro, but thats further then any Genin could have gotten. He wins all his battles through strategy, even before obtaining CS and MS.

The other reason I have a mild dislike of him is that Sharingan; aka Superpower Lottery. Now, I have no problem someone taking advantage of a kekkei genki (probably spelled that wrong -_-), but to me, Sasuke is dependant on it. Without it he couldn't have learned Chidori and anything he based off on that. What does he use mostly? His lightning techniques, with the snakes and some genjutsu. And that's about all he does. As for his taijutsu, remember who he copied it from? Rock Lee. Sure, he's trained on his own of course, but he just copied Lee for the basis of it. Add in all the various Sharingan-only jutsu he knows, and we have a problem. If he were to loose the Sharingan for some reason, he would be drastically cut down in power. Someone so dependent on something he got because he was lucky to be born with it I just don't find appealing.

Thats no different then Naruto having a demon inside his body, making him stronger than everyone else. No different then Pain being born with the Rinnegan. Not all Uchiha's are the prodigy's that Sasuke and Itachi were. They both worked for it harder than any Uchiha had before.

From the moment he was a child, Sasuke would spend hours and hours on the docks just practicing his fireball Jutsu. His face was covered in burns, and he still didnt stop it. While the other kids were at recess at school, Sasuke would be in the back of the building practicing his Kunai throwing accuracy. And even when he had the Curse Mark, he still did nothing but train at Orochimaru's hideouts.

He worked his ass off for the Chidori. Not only did he leave the hospital injured, just having a lethal curse mark sealed into his body, but he spent 2 weeks nonstop training with Kakashi on the top of a mountain. Nonstop! I'd say he worked for it, he didnt even take a break to come back into town, and trained down to the last second, so much that he was late for his match.


He maintains his strength, and he constantly works hard for it. He is always on the move to improve himself, and accomplish what needs to be done. He did not hesitate or take a break for one second after defeating Orochimaru to gather a team to get his job done. You cant say he doesnt try.

His sole purpose was to find Sasuke, and to be strong enough to bring him home when he actually does. I think thats the main reason he left with Jiraiya during those years of training; The little boy we know who complained endlessly about summoning a frog, would have NEVER given up 2 years of his life and freedom, just to become stronger. And look at the maturity level he came back with, as opposed to his PRS counterpart.





No, you seem to have it all wrong. Sasuke never cared for "The Village" to begin with, or the people in it for that matter. The only people he loved were taken away from him at a young age, so there was no way he was going to let himself once again become attached to anything. He hated the village. It was a sign of imprisonment to him, a waste of time that just held him back from fulfilling the only purpose he has ever known or believed in. You call it loopy, but I call it an unquenchable thirst to fulfill his goals and become stronger.

This boy had to watch his brother, the person he admired more than any other alive, kill his entire clan, murder his parents, before his very eyes. The respect and the love he had always had for his brother, and he goes and does such an atrocious thing. He took EVERYTHING from Sasuke. Nobody here can truly understand what its like to have everything you love taken away from you. Everything you ever knew, what you were raised with, what you were raised to believe was your set path in life, gone in an instant, with no hope of ever returning. In turn, he becomes vengeful towards Itachi, even obsessed.

Itachi is his last link to the only place he ever called home, the only time he ever felt true happiness. More than anything, more than the revenge he wants by killing his brother, he needs to find out why. Person to person, why did you kill our clan, our family? And why did you spare me, and force me to deal with this on my own, as a young child. Try putting yourself in his shoes. If you can tell me you could just move on without knowing the truth, and validating your existance, you're a liar. Plain and simple.

But even so, he did gain feelings towards his friends. And he showed this on many occasions. How many times did he save Sakura and Naruto's life, when he could have just let them die? He didnt do it because it was his job, he did it because his emotions led him to do so. He didn't want to suffer the loss of another cared one, so he stopped it. But still, he couldn't let himself get close to anyone, he wouldn't.

Everyone says that he's such a crybaby for leaving the village, what an insult to ninjas everywhere! Well, the Village wasn't his true home. His home was gone, so how was he turning his back on something he was never facing in the first place? He was only getting sidetracked by staying there. He was barely getting stronger, Kakashi had taught him everything that he could, but even with Kakashi's lessons, he was powerless to stop his Brother, even humuliated. Can you imagine how that must have felt, after years of waiting you finally find the person responsible for all the pain in your life, and not only does he make easy work out of you, but he once again spares your life! In Sasuke's eyes, Itachi didnt even feel he was worthy of killing.

The person he cared for more than anything, seeing what a complete weakling he was. Seeing that even after the death of his family, Sasuke hadn't trained himself to be strong enough to handle himself. This event led Sasuke to finally decide what was right, for himself. He left the village. And its not as if he was completely cold-hearted about it. He listened to every word Sakura had to say, without interruption. A cold-hearted Emo kid cares nothing about what others have to say, but he showed her the respect to listen.

The Village itself was never there for Sasuke, in his eyes. To them, he was just the "Survivor", "The Last Uchiha", an interesting celebrity that people bet on at tournaments, that people whispered about as he passed. They never showed any true love or care for him, they merely treated him as a trophy. I dont know about you, but I wouldn't want to stay in a place like that. I'd have no problems leaving a place that did nothing but haunt me of the pain from the past. And yes, he shared a bond with his team. But he made his decision long before he met them.

What type of Ninja would he be, had he just given up on his goals? Everyone thinks so highly of Naruto because he always follows his Nindo. He never goes back on his word. Well, Sasuke's is quite similar. He made a choice from the moment the tragedy happened, he trained and honed his skills by himself for years. He dealt with the emotional loss and the care of himself. And he made his choice; He will find out why. He will be strong enough to defeat his brother. His clan cannot rest, or even be safe to restore, as long as the man who murdered them all exists.

He doesnt fear death. He proved that when he was willing to "Die" to gain power from Orochimaru. And he never joined Oro to go against Konoha for that matter. He used him to find new ways to gain power, furtherly fulfilling his goal. Once he was done with him, he got rid of him. Nothing can hold the guy back.

His purpose was to avenge his family, plain and simple. Defeat the threat to his clan, the people who caused him so much torment. And he hasn't done that yet, but he continues to drive on. He's been through hell and back, faced amazing opponents and come out on top, He's run into his old allies multiple times, had the oppurtunity to kill them every time, but still chose not to.

You say he's a fruit loop. But despite all this, despite going through everything he has been through in these past years, he has managed to keep his sanity. He has allies that he protects with his life(The Killerbee/Karin situation), and he has goals that have never swayed.

The way I see it, that's a pretty damn sane Ninja to me.



Last thing, just to add:



Sasuke has bangs. Ok, Whoop, so does Itachi. So does Neji. So does Deidara. Rock Lee even(Yes, those are bangs. They go down to his eyebrows for gods sake!). Great stereotype there. He wears eyeshadow? Umm, when? Only guy I've seen wearing eyeshadow is Gaara.

And the homosexual thing still makes me laugh, to this day. I dont have to go back and explain his greater sense of purpose, and his promise to stay away from distractions. But Ill say this....Hinata has been after Naruto since day one. Its obvious, everyone saw it, eventually, even he saw it. Has he ever gone for it? Nope. So I guess he's a homo, right?

Kakashi gets goo-goo'd and gah-gah'd everywhere he goes. But Ive yet to see him go on a date or even look twice at a girl staring at him. Must be a Homo!

Look at the girls that liked Sasuke; Sakura, Ino. Completely shallow when he met them, and he knew it. I sure as hell wouldn't waste my time on something like that, I dont know about you.

Oh and one last thing...He was a CHILD. I didnt kiss my first girl until I was 14, older than he was during the Naruto series. So women definitely isnt at the top of his list of priorities....

I did mention I did think Naruto got a bit lucky with the Nine-Tailed Beast, though on the flip side it did make everyone hate him and despise him. That would mean the teachers most likely didn't give him a proper education, and possibly sabotage his efforts to learn. Except for Iruka of course. As for Pain, when did I ever say I liked him? If anything he got even luckier than Sasuke, if it wasn't for the fact that his life just sucked. Then again, so did Sasuke's, which is why I don't complain about him being 'emo' as many others would, not that I think he is.

As for the rest, I guess I bashed him a little too hard. I did say I didn't think he did nothing, but at the same time I still feel to a degree that he still depends too much on the Sharingan than he should. Almost everything he uses comes from it one way or another, whether it's taijutsu (he copied from Lee's to serve as the base of his), his lightning techniques (all based off of Chidori) or all the Sharingan-only jutsus he knows. Remove the Sharingan, and everything else kind of falls apart as he's reduced to only the more basic stuff and fireballs. He'd still be able to put up a fight, just not near the level he is capable with it.

Same goes for Naruto, Neji, Hinata, Pain, Kakashi (the copy ninja) of course. Though Naruto, Kakashi and Hinata I like for who they are outside of battle, which balances out the negatives of their abilities giving them some benefits. Sasuke, not so much. His personality isn't exactly something I enjoy, so he gets an overall negative view in my mind. I don't absolutely despise him like others do, just a general dislike.
