Why do people hate English dub so much, no really why?

Exactly and the person talking is an old women just look her up (Maile Flanagan).
Why does he have to have a women talking why can't you just give him a deep voice he is a 16 year old boy.

I mean somtimes the dubbed just sound not emotional at all. The voices are kiinda weird and stuff.

I enjoy the dub much more than the subbed versions, mainly because I started with the dub and manga. Plus, I prefer to watch stuff in a language I know, subtitled or not, because I can roam around and do stuff while still knowing what the characters are saying. I'm also a slow reader when it comes to subs. I dislike the Japanese version, but that doesn't mean I'm going to bash those who do.

People hate it because it sounds different than what they are used to; after watching Pokemon DP with subtitles, I grew to hate the dub of it. It's like that with every anime too, people just make it a bigger deal than it really is.

I prefer sub better because Japanese voice actors can convey a certain emotion that English voice actors can't.

I'm not sure. I prefer Dub, but I couldn't care less if others hate it. I just don't like having to read to understand what's going on. When they're talking verbally in my language, the point gets across to me a lot easier.

I like both, if I'm being honest I prefer the Japanese versions because I feel that that's how Kishimoto-sensei wanted the characters to sound. But I don't know why people get so worked up about the English versions, they are just as good, sure their mouths don't fit the words, but apart from that I don't see what the problem is, the actions are the same, and it's cute listening to the difference between the voices from the Japanese versions and the English.

I would prefer it if in the English version they didn't make it so clean, I don't really like seeing the artwork and the dialogue changed, {no blood/swearing} it kinda lets the dubs down when that happens, and having the chan/kun etc.. would be really nice. But aside from that they are both equally as good as each other in their own different ways, what one version has the other may not, so both are fresh and unique!

I wouldn't say hate but it's just a matter of preference. I prefer watching it in Japanese with subs. In my opinion, the Japanese conveys the emotions way better. I have tried watching the dubbed version but for some reason I could not relate the voice to the character (if you know what I mean!).

Also, people have accent preferences as well .. so it's not just the English dubbing, it's the whole package that comes with it; Japanese doesn't have this problem.

People who prefer watching it in Japanese have got no issues whatsoever with reading the subs

Most young boys are voiced by girls in the Japanese dubbings.

For me it's simple. English makes everything sound so much more corny. When they call out jutsu it sounds like Ash telling one of his Pokemon to do a move for me. Not to mention, Naruto's voice is soooooooo grating to me. From what I've gleaned here he is also voiced by a woman in the dub but instead of just speaking in an even tone this woman tries to make her voice sound more gravelly and it sounds like Naruto is a chain smoker with a cold. To top it all off they can't curse in English which takes away some of the dramatic flare. Yu Yu Hakusho didn't have this problem which was part of why it was so awesome but hearing people say "Darn It" or "Aww man" and the cheesy "You snot nosed brat" instead of "You slimy " (by Kakashi to Kabuto) just ruins it for me.

I don't mind the Dubbed versions (I loved it) but it's just that many of the screenshots and scenes are edited and cuted and how they are lowing the language to a more children - friendly show. (I don't believe Naruto was intended to be for younger children rather older children and up like Teenagers.)

They don't have to edit the series at all. It says slap bang on the Manga it is recommended for Teenagers and up (Original) and Older Teenagers and up (Shippuden). So they really don't have to edit anything out. (Some people hated the English Dubbed for that)

Other than that I love the Dubbed version and hope there are cool episodes to watch next.

They are broadening the audience, thus more people watching, thus more money earned.

I don't like the dub because a lot of the voices sound corny/don't match the character. Though there are some voices that are PERFECT in the dub. In my opinion, Pain, Itachi, Sasori and Sasuke's English voice actors are all amazing.

Well personally I like the English sub versions better just because they sound better when a Japanese voice says everything. I tried watching the English dubbed version once and cringed because it just didn't sound the same, of course that's probably because I've already gotten use to how the characters sound in their Japanese voices. And I don't really have an issue with keeping up with subtitles, so it doesn't take away enjoyment for me. But like several of the comments say, it's all based on preference.
