Am I the only one who actually enjoys bashing media that I love? I don't do it out of spite. I mean, I like Naruto, although the flashbacks are infuriating. But I like a bunch of stuff I punch holes in. It's part of the entertainment value, throwing rotten tomatoes at the monitor.

But I'll stand by my previous statement that Kishi needs to higher a writing staff and just give them general guidance. Concentrate on the art, Kishi. The art! Everything went off the rails with both the ETs and that Obito crap. It's almost like no plot jutsu.

Blame Kishimoto for having no other better candidate than Obito. It was not surprising in the end when it was him. It also made the most sense in the context Kishimoto wrote.

Crituqueing work is fun. Heck, I read all 100,000+ pages of the Wheel of Time saga just for that.

He does have a drawing staff, he could do the same for the writing. Although, we do know in the beginning the editors continually told Kishi to changes things, add Sasuke, don't kill Sasuke. That clearly made the story better. Now that he is a big deal, I imagine the editors allow him to do anything. He has become George Lucas, if only he let the others direct..

Really true, once it wasn't Madara and it had to be an Uchiha(see fight against Karin) anyone one else would have been much worse than Obito. Remember all those stupid threads that wanted it to be what'shiname Danzo's Uchiha or Madara's brother?

What would have been wrong with it just being Madara? Considering what he did to himself with Hashi's cells, and that some form of immortality had been achieved by Oro (the only decent villain), it's not like it would have been a stretch. The only people that would have complained would have been the Tobito Mafia, but considering how many of them were overjoyed with Obito's weak back story, I'd just quietly let them drool on themselves.

True, Madara's later godlike status would have to have been toned down, but that amateur move is breaking the story anyway. I mean, I love mountain-sized meteors falling from the sky as much as the next guy, but I could deal without it for the sake of plausible dramatic content, because Madara's ultimate defeat is going to look ridiculous. It will likely literally be deus ex machina.

Thankfully there is the Hunter x Hunter 2011 anime.
(Though I still await the return of the HxH manga)

Now this is probably just me. But does anyone wish that Kishi
would spend just a tad bit more on the fact that the Hidden
Leaf is a mercenary unit? Konoha are hired guns or kunai at least.

But whenever there is an emergency and ninja are conveniently
not around it's always due to some "mission". But we don't
get to know what these "missions" are even though they
are apparently so important that when say Sasuke defects
to Orochimaru they only send in the bare minimum to stop him.

Whatever happened to stuff like Tazuna the Bridge Builder
where we actually get to see the client and ninja dynamic?

Just laziness on Kishi's part. In the anime filling you actually have a lot of hired missions.

Being Madara would have been fine. Except after the Kabuto meeting, it was pretty obvious he wasn't Madara.

Even better would have been if Tobi was just the goof he started out as. Oh well.
Wel, it should be the end. Then Madara will be defeat by something stronger than meteor--like Holy.
