Sometimes I feel like a good-for-nothing failure.

When I was younger, people had really high expectations for me. At one point, I wanted to go to Harvard. I feel silly saying that. Somewhere along the line when I was in high school I lost my motivation to do so. Safe to say my work ethic back then was pretty much nonexistent. I see a lot of people I went to high school with ready to graduate from college with their bachelor's degrees, and it stings my ego because I know I could have done it by now, too. At the very least, I could have stayed in school, but I made a few unwise decisions (one of those decisions being dropping out of college). While I've achieved a lot for my age and am in a lot of ways more better off than most, I feel like I haven't accomplished a lot of things I probably already should have.

I'm skittish around the opposite sex.

I don't know if I can word this right. Let's just say I have a lot of trust issues (in general) but usually they are with men. If you asked my roommate, who is my closest friend, she'd probably tell you that I run away from guys, metaphorically speaking.
I know how to take a compliment but if you repeatedly ask me out and don't take no for an answer there's a good chance I won't be talking to you again. I feel so uncomfortable and I hate it when men can't take a hint. If I flirt with you, it means I like you. And I rarely flirt with anyone at all. At all. So just because I say hi to you doesn't give you the green light to awkwardly proposition me. And then there are random guys I don't even know that do or say things that just freak me out. Example: I was practically chased across the parking lot by a strange guy I didn't even know a couple weeks ago. He kept asking me for my name, and had I given it to him I'm assuming he would have tried to ask for my number. However I was distracted by the whole "running after me" thing. I'm pretty neurotic, and I'm in a new, unfamiliar place, but I feel very vulnerable and unsafe when situations like that occur.

I've only ever kissed three people.

I think I'm a horrible person to be friends with.

I say this because I can't maintain a friendship to save my life, aside from a couple close ones. I'm horrible at socializing and keeping in contact with people. I can distance myself easily, and it's one of the qualities I like the least about myself because I really just don't care. I do, and yet I don't. It's not about putting in the effort, I guess it just has to do with the fact that I'm not very social in general and that I see socialization as a two way street. Plus I don't really have a high tolerance for other people. Example: I recently lost a close friendship because apparently SHE thought we were having issues and decided to put it all over a social networking site rather than coming to me and addressing her feelings. She was a big drama queen to begin with, so I was just tired of her shit and I figured if that was the way she wanted things I'd just let it be.
tl;dr: if I don't say hi every once in a while, it doesn't mean I dislike you. It just means I'm a horrible socializer and maybe you'll have to say hi to me instead. I feel bad for drifting away from people because of that.

I'm a very jealous and bitter person. I act like I'm not, but deep down I'm absolutely horrible. I'm jealous of pretty much everything. Even some of the girls on this forum because some of them are so pretty and nice I'm just here like meh. (Not that I assumed everyone on this forum would be ugly or anything....)
