Personally, I have my doubts to this but IF something like this were to have happened...

1) It would have been Tobirama to be the one to kill Izuna. Think about it. If we're talking about people acting in character, it seems plausible for someone like Tobirama working in the shadows and taking out the Uchiha leaders right hand man. Pretty obvious he dislikes the Uchiha.

2) They could have set up an agreement that if one were to die, they'd take each others eyes. If tobirama knows the Uchiha's eye secrets, it's safe to assume Madara and Izuna do too. They were very close so it's logical for Madara to cherish Izuna's eyes if he died. (However I feel like Izuna gave them to Madara since they were both going blind but whatever)

3) Its not far fetched to think Madara appeared during Izuna's eminent death to capture his last words. Actually, that happens a lot.

4) The Uchiha clans preference of Hashi as a leader would definitely push Madara over the top if the Senju actually killed his brother. Madara clearly felt the fight wasn't over since he fought Hashirama which would indicate his belief in them still being the enemy-not friends.

These 4 points are logical points (in my mind) if something like this were to be true, but I'll stick to the original Naruto lore of the Senju fighting for leader with love and the Uchiha by power-even though it seems to be the opposite these last few chapters. Lol

Besides Madara was the only one who could or would fight HASHIRAMA. The point is izuna willingly gave up his eyes for the sake of te clan. If he fought anyone after that then that's stupid. Izuna could have fought HASHIRAMA at some point but did not die from him

Humor me here u guys are going from how madras is as a child to his actions as an adult. What if his brother liked war. Madara loves his brother they grow up fighting together bang his brothers ideals become his the battle now really is over title and which clan is the strongest

What do u mean what I'm not saying anything I said is true except the facet that as kids they both may want peace but influence of family (clan) could have changed madaras mind. As a adult do u still have the se views as u did as a kid that's all I'm saying. And thinking this way leads me to believe it is a fight for the title of hokage. I'm not calling anyone out but hokage stands for superior. So maybe not just personally are they fighting but they both are fighting for their clans now regardless if thats how they want it. They are naruto and sasuke. Just think nar/saus now mirror mad/hir does it not?
