in 5 to 7 yrs, most the kids here are gonna be joining the corporate world (i hope) so would it be prudent for them to have some level of awareness of the free market's ebbs and flows?

He essentially cause the recession by lowering interest rates too slow.

Then he has over compensated by using methods that border on fical policy, which is the not the responsibility of the Fed. His only concern should be inflation. If that necessitates interest rates near zero so be it. But buying government bonds is not his purview and saying the Fed will keep interest rates where they are is bordering on giving out free heron samples.

In short, he has forked up the economy almost as much as Greenspan did.

What do you think of him being influenced by Milton Friedman?

I dunno but aren't their economics a bit different?
