I say so because I saw no reason for me to win. And in fact there wasn't. I don't want to win just because I have the most friends. Hence, why I asked to not win

I've only been here for a short while but IMO, I think people should win because they did something (big or small) and with popular opinion. I don't think people's votes should be pushed aside but I also don't want people to win for no reason.

People will always complain about something. That's common sense.
But there shouldn't be a reason for everyone to complain.

If you want to get rid of it, be my guest. If you want to make it some yearly thingie or whatever someone said, go for it. Honestly, I do not really care. I find that everyone is waaaaaayyy too serious about this. I thought the contest was cute when I first joined and now I wish it never existed.

And this isn't a qualm about the system? Currently people are split. Some people think popularity is what this contest is about and some people think that this contest is about contribution. Some people want that changed, but there's no clear thing that EVERYONE wants.

Yearly contests are a joke. It's too hard to narrow down to one person because everyone does so much in the span of a year.
