I, for one, thought it was terrible. The art was great as usual, but the rest just stunk. Unohana's Bankai was shown for like two pages, and it's unclear what it really did-melted them into skeletons or something, and yet they're still alive...ok. Someone will have to look into what "Minazuki" means. Then there is just how the entire fight has been an exchange of sword blows where each looks exactly the same as the one before and then a sudden end with Unohana stabbed and dying, because "there can only be one Kenpachi"

Not going to lie... I thought he would actully talk to his sword.... once again I am disapointed. Untill I saw Kubos dawing of him at the end to troll us..

Seems rushed tbh. Usually when Kubo reveals a Bankai he likes to take time to explain it. He completely just skipped that part to end the fight.

She repeatedly, repeatedly rapes him. Her sword brings him back from death so he can get stronger, but why can't the sword do the same for her?

That bankai looked cool, maybe well get some explanation from someone in retrospect.(I hope), kinda cheesy ending but it was obivous with way kubo set this up.

Perhaps it CAN heal her and she just WANTS to die?
She said she "sinned" and her death might be her way

I don't think these chapters are meant to be looked at so
practically. But rather in a more "romantic" sense.
Not lovey dovey romance but more "Student surpasses Master"
romantic. Or like how the way for Ichigo to gain FGT
was by giving up and getting stabbed by Tensa Zangetsu/Hollow Ichigo

Someone analyzed Minazuki.

crossing blades with Minazuki exchanges the disintegration of flesh between combatants where directly striking the opponent cancels it out. This means that Unohana has the advantage on two fronts:

A) As a master of all forms of swordplay, she'd never be stuck with the disintegration for too long as she'll either transfer it via blade lock or negate it via landing a hit.

B) Her zanpakutou ability would make her opponents unwilling to opt to block strikes as well as only attempt strikes they're sure to land. And given Unohana's capability to "heal herself to be able to fight forever" her opponent isn't outlasting her. And if the opponent somehow would be capable of outlasting her (Zaraki level endurance or haxx or whatever), the disintegration effect would be what scores the win.

TL;DR - Crossing blades tags the victim with death. Landing a direct hit negates it. Being a sword master and unparalleled healer, opponent is left to fall into pieces or bleed out.

Pretty good the fight finally ended and Kenpatchi finally won and we finally saw Unahana's bankai before she gets stabbed to death too bad we didn't see it all that much but it still looked cool I guess.

So I was reading a thread on another Bleach forum about how the number
5 and 15 and 1 seem to be used a lot. For example Ichigo=1 and 5 and
he started off as 15 years old. There's a lot more stuff.

But one I thought of is how

Zaraki is from squad 11
and Unohana is from squad 4

11+4=15

Now 4 is of course symbolism for death.

But I dunno what 11 is.
