Why does the bad happen to the good?

Recently everything has been getting to my head even the smallest of things. I have just been informed that a good friend of mine hung himself :S I'm just thinking now what is the point in being nice when you get bombarded with

. I have been nice my whole life and can't recall being really happy ever

Well the way I look at it..someone has to be nice or everyone will just be as bad as each other.

But I know what you mean....
It seems the better people of this world has the worst of luck and bad things are more likely to happen to them for some reason.

Keep being nice. It will make others happy and in turn, you will feel happy.

The world is an unfair place. It doesn't really operate on karma or any of that crap. The world is as good as the people in it. That's why good things or bad things can happen to anyone. We, as people, operate under our own devices.

Sorry to hear about your friend. And niceness doesn't always pay off, but I find the times when it does to be very rewarding. Also I find being mean makes your life even worse one way or another, we all go through harsh times but it's best to be able to say we don't deserve it rather than that we do in my opinion. I suggest you try to do some things you enjoy to calm you down from stress build up, or take a break from them if that's causing it.

The nicer you are the worse your life will be. what i have been seeing for folks of my generation is that you have to be in a mob of thugs and bullies to win it.

but this is just lowgrade stuff because actually winners of gen are in college probably

I am very sorry......I know exactly what you mean...
It does seem like every person who makes life worth living have something terrible happen to them. It does make you question whether or not you should just stop treating the world with kindness when it never treats you the same. I know the feeling when you say you have never truely been happy. Even when you try to keep your head up, and stay happy for the sake of not losing your mind, it just seems like it's still impossible to be happy with everything constantly going on around you.

I know that all too well.......

Keep your friends close. Thats my only advice.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. My advice is this: bad is the absence of good. If you're good all the time, nothing bad should happen, right? But that would screw up the balance of everything, so bad must happen to the good every once in a while. But it get's better. I know because I've been in you're position. What I said might not make sense, but just keep on doing what you're doing and don't let life get you down. You'll find happiness.

But being nice isn't the only thing you have to do. Just remember, life loves those who love it. Go out there and do what you love, make yourself happy, and good things will come your way.
