Iachi did.
The reason why Madara was able to stay in this world is because his Edo got cancelled.
That's what he wanted.
When Itachi cancelled the jutsu all souls got free from the formula and started to get out of the body, and Madara just ''forced'' his soul back into the Edo body because the soul was no longer in the contract ad was no longer bound to the jutsu. He's an Edo only by body, not by soul because he is the one who is conTROLLing the soul.

Hokages cannot break away from Edo Tensei right now unless Tobirama knows the way.

True, he couldn't have...he took advantage of itachi's ET release project... so unless, somehow, Oro is forced to release the jutsu, none of the kage's can become free...

The kage most likely to escape ET bound would be Minato...because of his sealing knowledge?

Maybe control his body, but not break the edo.
Like Itachi did. He put himself under a genjutsu, but that doesn't mean that he was free of the Edo formula. Kabuto could've canceled him anytime, but he was too full of himself and that cost him a lot.

Maybe if Minato can put a seal on himself, Oro will still be able to cancel him.
Right now, even if Kabuto weaks up and tries to cancel Madara, he'll fail. Because Madara's soul is already free.

agree...madara's soul is free from kabuto but bound by himself...

Kabuto couldn't have cancelled Itachi because, it'd cancelled all his ETs at once.... same with Oro...should he cancel one Hokage, the rest would be cancelled too right?

Maybe if you revive one at a time you can cancel one at a time.

It's still risk-free.
Madara controlled his sould after the ET was canceled.
It's the caster(In this case Kabuto) who's weak.

Wrong guys soul or no soul madras had the knowledge on how to break it. He broke the jutsu before itachi released it. Madras says it himself that he knows how to release himself and it shows him do the signs don't remember what chapter but go back and you'll see I'm right

What? When Itachi released it all souls started to fade. So did Madara's.
He was in midair when it happened but he then returned the soul back.
It happened AFTER Itachi canceled the jutsu.

Madara would have found another way out even Itachi hadn't released it..as he says to Kabuto that a Jutsu of that level can not bind him...

This thread is true.

Madara didn't break it, as I initially suggested in another thread.

However, this also means that Madara regaining control of himself, technically, isn't a weakness of the jutsu.

The jutsu was over by the will of the caster. So the only "weakness," is if someone wants revenge after the fact and has the ability to stick around.

But you can add revenge to any use of jutsu against someone. I admit, that revenge, with unlimited chakra, could be an issue.
