Mewtwo vs Deoxys

Im sure this isnt the first time that this battle scenario has come up, but I have honestly been wondering which of these two pokemon would win in a match if they were both ev trained to their maximum capabilities. Deoxys has higher stats than Mewtwo in certain forms. Such as much higher attack in attack form, much higher defense in defense form, etc. However, its defensive capabilities are greatly lowered in attack form, as well as it's attack capabilities are also poor in defense form. Therefor, given the right circumstances, I think that Mewtwo could take advantage of those lowered stats.

Not to mention, Mewtwo also has beneficial moves such as power swap and guard swap that could take advantage of Deoxy's different forms. The only major advantage that Deoxys has over Mewtwo is its speed form. Deoxys can land hits on Mewtwo first, giving it an edge in battle. So it basically all comes down to movesets. Mewtwo has a wide range of moves, however it's signature move Psystrike is weaker than Deoxys's signature move Psychoboost. But that is really of little significance, considering they are both Psychic types and have a resistance to psychic based attacks.

They are both capable of using Shadow Ball, which is super effective on both of them. With Deoxys's suerior speed stats, wouldnt it have the advantage over Mewtwo with a Shadow Ball attack? But Mewtwo would also most likely be able to KO a Deoxys in attack form in one hit with a Shadow Ball, due to it's low defense.

So who has the better chances of winning? I say that they both stand an equal chance, given that the circumstances are not against them. I just find it that Deoxys may be a little tricky to defeat.

Not sure they are both quite powerful but yeah Deoxys is really fast which im sure it wold give it an advantage though Mewtwo is pretty powerful so its hard to say.

He's OP among Earth's pokemon, but against that space freak he dies.
Even if Mewtwo completely obliterates him he'll just regenerate like when Rayquaza destroyed him.

They both have a fair chance at winning since their stats are both excellent, and im talking about the game. But in real life battle I would consider deoxys since he will regenerate. So mewto would have little affect on him since he does regenerate, and would only be wearing himself down as many times as he attacked.

I'd say it's a stalemate since Deoxys can regenerate and Mewtwo could just reflect back whatever Deoxys throws at him.
