I have to say I am actual pleased with this chapter. First time in over a year. ._.
It was nice to finally have confirmation that O-man has been fighting lame all this time. Meaning Sasuke didn't beat him in his prime.

Same Situation, Eren and the gang had to walk cloaked and hooded through the city but had to use their brains instead of strolling through, using a decoy to distract guards and making their way through alleys and underground.
Those guys aren't even remotely Ninjas but behave more like them as in Naruto.

THAT's how you write such situations not:
We are Ninja's, that's why we walk in the open, right in front of people, hooded and cloaked, at the time of war.
Screw those people, they're dummies, and cause I feel like it, I go straight ontop of a building, of course not a soul see's me or thinks we are suspicious deeeeeeeeeerp.

Read more, cause Kishi is really pushing it here, heck he's never been great this has chapter has proven it again.

He's at best a mediocre Mangaka and it was shown again.
For real good reads and how a manga should be try the likes of Shingeki no Kyojin, Umineko or One Piece cause reading quality works opens eyes about those that aren't.
I used to think:
"NARUTO!" I admit I used to be a major Narutard.
But reading actual ones made me realize Kishi just sucks but if it helps, not as much as O!G.
Read Umineko to see how a real manga should be despite it being tremendously complicated.
2 chapters alone have more character development for side characters than Kishi did throughout the entire manga to the point that you actually feel sad about their deaths.

What refined, high-quality sensibilities you have. But you should appreciate the fact you get to read manga for free. And you should expect people who DO appreciate such a thing to comment against your negative opinions about an artist and his choices in expression. Though, if you pay for Naruto (which I don't know if you have/do) then you've got the right to say whatever you please. I doubt Kishimoto is losing much sleep or money over all these perceived inadequacies. He's still a successful mangaka.

But...

It sounds like you're offended by his storytelling. So for you? I have no advice. Carry on then, you're a much better poster when you're extracting imagery and concepts to teach people about Japanese mythology (and that's no sarcasm).

I don't see how this chapter is bad? Every question and mystery we've had stems from the 4 hokages/Reaper Death Seal. They ARE history in the world of Naruto. That's like saying, "oh, it's bullcrap that Abraham Lincoln has a broader understanding of everything that happened in the world back then." Like, what??? Kishi decides to tie up loose ends and people are upset. I don't get it.

Quality chapter.

P.s. we never knew enough about the Uzumaki clan (obviously because the manga has been depicted through ppls eyes that knew nothing about them), so I'm glad the essence of their clan was preserved.

Going back to story elements: the cloaked group is walking through the city at night, with absolutely NO outdoor lighting. It is not surprising at all that no one noticed them.

My bet is that Hashirama knows how to break ET, and maybe do it without needing the opportunity Madara required. He did invent it, and obviously Kishi could care less about establishing a basis for any hat tricks (no foreshadowing, as Vivi said). This weakens the payoff for any solutions presented, but there you have it.

It's a bit ridiculous that a shrine filled with powerful artifacts was left untouched in a world where power-hungry demigod wizard spies seem to infest every tree and rock. And frankly, any clan worthy of annihilation because of their power will provoike a hunt for their secrets.

Truth be told...

I find the Hokage boring.

Sure they are great for fights. But character wise it doesn't seem like there is much to them. Tsunade is awful as a character. Hashirama is too perfect.
Hiruzen is a pacifist who gets more credit than he deserves.
Minato is cool I don't really have a problem with him but well I was
fine not ever seeing him again.

Danzo and Tobirama are the exception.

Danzo is great because

1. He is the most ninja character in the story. Period.

2. He makes the story interesting.

3. If he had his way then those that make the story not interesting
would be dead

Tobirama is potentially interesting because of his mistrust
of the Uchiha and having to carry the burden of Hashirama's error:
Not killing Madara and the consequences of that.

Maybe if we get equal amount of rant time from each one
this could be good. But I am afraid that won't happen
and instead we'll get a lot of the same:
Hashirama's relationship with Madara.
Hiruzen's lame attempts at compromise
Minato and Tobito

meanwhile Tobirama is cast aside like wet rags.

However even with Tobirama I'm still disappointed as
this will be just the Senju side of the story.

Why is Danzo so great?

Because he is a Shimura. He is neither Senju nor Uchiha.

But Minato isn't either.

Yeah. But he might as well be one.

Danzo doesn't follow the will of fire.
But he doesn't follow the uchiha cycle of hatred either.

It's amazing we get all these characters in this war---

And yet the perspective is still skewed to mostly Uchiha and Senju view.

because edo tensei is a forbidden jutsu. and after the 3rd hokage sealed away the first and second hokage, all the hokages werent able to be summoned using edo tensei anymore. only reason orochimaru was able to was because when he cut open the reapers stomach to get his arms back he also grabbed their souls back
