I only said that because I've seen you post Naruto related things in threads that aren't to do with Naruto before. As for anything else, it's likely it's just someone who disagrees with your opinion on something to do with Naruto if it was in a Naruto related thread, it happens sometimes where people don't like the character you're speaking about and de-rep as a degree to your post.

If you've learned and don't break rules and don't spam anymore then there's no need to worry about the negative rep anymore, it'll be there but it won't effect you in any meaningful way.

This BG area there are also places and threads which are not Naruto related though. You need not really stick to just two sections because someone has told you too, they did that to make sure you're posting in the right areas, just have to make sure you understand the thread before replying to it. The first thing I do is check the first post in what ever thread I may view, the one that started it to get some idea what it is actually about. Then if you know anything of it you can reply, if it's not something you're to sure of best not too, to avoid conflict, mishaps or misunderstandings.
Even so even if it were about Naruto, people do still tend to disagree with what you are saying and de-rep you as in saying I disagree with you.

Exactly, this is a reason why Negative Rep isn't really a problem, you can follow all the rules and still get it. It isn't necessarily bad so much as it is someone disagreeing, which happens all the time.

It matters not, I've seen enough people around here as is, that have some kind or problem in some way themselves, as for reputation, in the end it is just coloured boxes on your screen which won't do anything to you unless you let them upset you, remember you're not the only one who get's them, some people around here get one every day or the alike, same with me, I tend to get a a load of them all at once at times, in fact have just recently, most I've got in one day is 5 and almost in the same hour, mind you that was a while ago that, haha.

Wow, are you telling me that people can down rep you because of your individual taste? That's pretty damn pathetic. I know it's just rep, but people should respect that everyone has different opinions.

Yes it has happened, I have heard cases of people de-repping in the like what ever or who you prefer out of so and so threads, in Character Talk word games and Make Out Paradise word games.
Well it's tends to likely be the hard core fans that really love or really hate a character and get annoyed with things said about the character they really love or dislike hearing people say good things about characters they really hate.

It amazes me how immature people can be. I post in Character Talk games at times, but I've never gotten down repped in there...yet. It could be because I usually don't say offensive things about characters. Either way, I'm not gonna refrain from speaking my mind just because some childish brat doesn't like what I have to say about their favorite character. If they don't want to the truth, they could've just named the thread "Give the character above you a compliment"

Well, I personally use rep like that but not so drastically, I hardly ever up-rep or de-rep, yet when I do it's usually only for a post I really agree with or really, really disagree with.

I personally am a Ramen shop type of person, I post in all sections of the Ramen Shop area, sometimes all at once, yet I tend to not be too bad either way with characters myself, I usually say what I like and dislike about them, so it covers both things so people don't get too upset if they're like that. I speak my mind too, it's gotten me in trouble yes, a few times quite badly, lol, yet it matters not to me, I will say it how I see it that simple.

As long as you keep the post objective and don't go insulting the person who made the statement, you should be able to say what on earth you'd like. If they don't agree with you, they can just post it in the thread or keep their ridicule to themselves. In my opinion, negative rep should be used for members who break the rules even though they know better than doing so, or for people who are trying to pick a quarrel for no reason.

See, this one of the many reasons why I like the BG's so much. People are straight forward with you and instead of "hiding behind negative rep" they give you reasons why they disagree with you and you can have a debate. But since the BGs are a type of debate section, that makes perfect sense.

As for people who go overboard because of their love with their series, that's called fandebating and is against the rules so I don't see any problem with giving them neg rep because of it.

I was talking about people who neg rep you because you have a different opinion than them about a character. That's just plain stupid-.-
