@IWD: Unlike you and Wooster, I don't really have a "good" reason for liking Danzo. He's what you would call "a round character" and not like the "typical villain." I think that's why I was impressed by him.
People tend to like characters that they can relate to and that they have some things in common with. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me that you and Wooster like this guy so much...

As for Eragon:
Book= Nothing special
Movie= Terrible

I read it when I was like 10-11, and at the time, I didn't really think much of it. I was kind of into dragons, magic and all that stuff.

But now, a few years later, I could seriously write a whole essay as to why I'm not a fan of that book, but to keep it short: Very boring characters, no character development whatsoever, the story was nothing out of the ordinary (dragons, magic, evil empire+evil king and et cetera) and he must've copied a lot of stuff from other author's works (Lord of the rings "cough"...).

I guess, I just didin't like how he could have done so much before anything major happened seeing how he fought pain lol.

I dont like him but his bugs powers had so much more potential then is displayed now. Just look at what the old ultimate ninja game did with him. He almost seemed like a demi-bug-god in those ougis.

they're is an element of realism to them- n Naruto Danzo should be normal everybody should think like him in the hidden villages because it makes perfect sense that nations made up entirely of mercenary soldiers and assassins - the altruistic will of fire compassionate stuff has no place in a manga about "ninjas" (and don't get me started on ninjas..they may not even have existed in the first place)

so I can see why Danzo gets so much hate from Naruto fans who on instinct realize that this character not only belongs but in his universe realistically his way makes sense..he's the only sane man and everybody else is either dangerously naive or a gibbering lunatic and it pisses them off...

and why people who do read more than just shounen jump manga find the character appealing,.

he isn't really a villain is he? Just more of an extremist who is acting realistically for the situation.

he was a fan of star wars and lord of the rings

Eregon originally started as crossover fanfiction between the two then his mom convinced him to write his own story

when reading Eregon you are literally reading a fanfiction turned novel written by a 14 year old
