Because each generation somehow have even worse parents than the last teaching their kids bad things, or not teaching them anything at all which leaves them to be taught by other kids that don't now what they are doing or other adults who are not exactly the best influence.

That's also been going on forever. Not so much drugs as a substance because they're fairly new, but people used to drink liquor more than they did water.

I think a big thing here is that we have kind of treated everyone except our friends on the same level, usually. The newer generation doesn't have all the discriminating tendencies as past generation. If they're dicks, they're normally dicks to anyone regardless of what they look like. Though, there are of course situations like the one Shika described. It's much better to be self-centered than to treat people as if they are less than you because of prejudice.

There is a big gap, and let's take for instance the digital divide, the technology we as a generation had was simple and many of us had humble beginnings with those tools. While the younger ones don't realize the value in the advances made and expect more and more because it's a emerging market. So already they are greedy little brats who really don't care for anything but consuming the newest and best products that they can show off. There are very few "Children games" anymore also. Many 10 year olds play Halo and Call of Duty and hardly Pok

You see? They don't understand the value in it because the media is neglecting them and targeting the generation now. The 20-year and 40 year olds who have the money.

There is the obvious, young parents who aren't making an effort to actually raise their children. Many families are breaking away from traditions and values that many of us either grew up with or at least know of. Many young parents also are working and attending facilities to further their education and lack the time to properly take care of their children leaving paid Nannies to look after their kids. There isn't proper adult care at the homes.

Society is broadcasting a narcissistic message of "it's all about me". Social networking sites are making kids think that everything they do is important and that nobody else's impute is important to them. There aren't limits to them.
