In short, he shot his parents and younger siblings. I think his other siblings weren't home at that time.

That's just brutal.

(One) of those parents probably abused or have beaten that kid.
And if it wasn't the parents... then it was some neighbor or someone at his school.
Otherwise that kid wouldn't be as he is now.
You don't naturally grow crazy, I blame his community for now.

@Kiseki it is perfectly possible that his parents did not abuse him it is not always peoples families that drive them over the edge.

People will blame a political figure they don't like no matter how completely irrelevant it is...we've sort of lost the idea of having any sort of personal responsibility for anything, which is sad but true! its always someone else's fault (note I don't like Obama myself, but I certainly am not going to blame him for irrelevant things that happen).

First question.... how the hell did he get a gun??? His dad should have then in a SAFE area that only he knows and lucked up tight. I mean that is kind of stuiped to go shoot people. Enjoy life, Obama has nothing to do with this. YOu have control over what you do. imo. This is really sad I feel so bad for the family.

OH! We talked about this in my Criminal Justice class today. Sometimes people are just born with lack of serotonin which can lead to mental disorders and aggressive behavior. Or maybe he had psychoses leaving him out of touch with reality and all that. So crazy doesn't necessarily have to be learned.

Either way still not necessarily to blame there is research showin that it can be nature rather than nurture leading to these situations.

Except that it's proven fact that people have these disorders. I'm not saying that it necessarily applies to this case, but you can't outright deny that people can be born with disorders that leave them out of touch with reality when it's a proven fact.

The main reason that this kind of crimes occur is that a child is abused, subject to much anger or hatred, severe depression, suffering from a mental disorder, or any of these in combination. Of course there is a quite simple way of solving this by preventing child abuse at home and bullying in school, as well as providing free psychological aid to anyone who requires it. If a person may become dangerous for the people around him he should be locked up and treated more intensely until he can come to his senses. Now I am no expert on the methods of psychological treatment, but this system is obviously more effective.

Sorry, I'm too tired at the moment to enter a political discussion regarding anti-gun laws.. again... but society would be much better if no one had guns nor needed them, to be short.

Of course there are other possible reasons. It is difficult to say why he did this before the results of the interrogation is made public.

Coming from me, what I am about to say won't be that surprising.

But as I read the article, I began to become suspicious right around when they said, ASSAULT RIFLE.

Media... And there were MANY red flags throughout the article. In short, Yahoo has once again, taken something tragic, and made a joke out of it by using unintelligent monkeys to write deliberate crap that people will eat up.
As far as I'm concerned, this kid grew a god complex, felt the need to play god, and then go back to normal spending a couple of his last days of freedom playing sexy with his under aged girlfriend.
