Not really. Just because someone has higher education doesn't mean that'll prevent them from getting pregnant.
Birth control isn't completely effective.
Health care won't stop people from having pregnancies.

The only way to prevent abortions is if everyone stopped having sex. But that's not gonna happen.

I'm thinking health care and the birth control are tied together, thus if people have health care; they'll end up using it for the pill.

It depends on the person.
For instance - if someone is immature and too wild, they should wait. But if someone is mature, and has there mind in the right place, I don't think they should (getting a significant other, I mean.)

Although I don't agree with abortion, unfortunately, it's not my choice. It's up to the parent, and we should respect the fact that they don't want the baby.

In terms of preventing teen pregnancy, I believe parents should teach their child(ren) about birth control and their options should they decide to have sex. Many parents tell their kids to just not do it, but, imo, that's a very outdated method that's proving ineffective.

Well i dont agree with abortions. Because for one if the parents didnt dont want the baby they shouldnt do it. But i respect everybodys opinion so yeah.

Actually countrys with overall higher education have lower brith rates so it indirectly does prevent a large number of pregnancies

For starters china has over 1 billion inhabitants. Other then that contrary to the asian stereotype alot of people in china are poor and not well educated usually working(might as wel call it slavery) in one of those apple fabrics for 6 cents an hour. Thats if they get payed.

It may, but education doesn't play a big role in regards to abortions. College graduates may have a lower abortion rate--if they do, that is--due to the fact they're simply older, enjoyed their lives, and are ready to settle down. For all we know, they may have had an abortion in their younger years and learned to better prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Statistics may be there, but the reasons behind each individual case are not.

I'd like to add, China has had many abortions each year. Several of which were forced.

Everyone in my area receives atleast basic health education yet we still have the second highest teen pregnancy rate in the the country and one of the highest in Europe, despite the standard of education I still know a girl who has had over 7 abortions by the age of 18.

In my opinion, having teens (or even adults) properly educated about sex and contraceptives would greatly help the unwanted/teen pregnancy rates which would ultimately cut down the rates of abortion. For example, It has been shown that programs that teach 'abstinence' only educatation have higher chances of the students being pregnant because they are not informed enough to make good, healthy decisions about sex. People should be well-informed about sex so they can make responsible decisions about it. You feel me?

No thanks, we have more than enough socially retarded young adults in this world. You don't forbid a child to make friends and socialize with them for that precise reason. Handicapping their romantic socializing during their developing years is the reason you have so many fools "falling in love" and marrying the first person they have sex with -- and then getting divorced when they realize they never knew what love was to begin with.

And I won't even bother getting into the issue of children being created from that foolishness. Dooming the children to a fractured family unit because their parents had overprotective parents themselves that never read a damn thing about psychology or biology.
