The Good: Lee's vorpal kick. Alliance Hawk Jutsu (weirdly reminiscent of Sasuke's summon). Madara's second expression of something other than smug dismissiveness. Hinata becomes useful for the second time in the manga.

The Bad: We didn't really need the diagram detailing how Naruto siphons and distributes the Kyuubi's chakra. This was implicit in the earlier explanation. The only new information was delivered by Kurama's dialogue, not the diagram. And Pops Nara did some fast freakin' talking if he had to get information from Kakashi before formulating a plan --- while the bijuudama was en route.

The Ugly: The portrait of Naruto's parents was terrible. Kushina looked like she'd been hit by a bus and then given bad plastic surgery. But I guess a man's drafting hand gets tired after a while...

I'll be really annoyed if this just turns out to be another way to show how snidely godlike Madara is, rather than a turning point in the battle. I'll be really really annoyed if this doesn't end up killing Obito. I'm just tired of his spacetime bs, when they've already shown how to defeat it.

^ I think the real goal was to sever the connection Madara and Obito have to the Juubi.

I thought of that, and then got more annoyed. Doing that is kind of pointless, since he can just re-establish the link real fast. Anyway, once you are right on top of the thing, its power is going to focus on you regardless of external control, because the whole Shinobi Alliance is now an annoying fly on its brow. I would smack them, wouldn't you?

Had he expanded it, Lee would have been toast, and attacking Madara directly with the rasengan has proven pointless. So they used Lee instead, and it worked (you know, except for Madara being an immortal god wizard and all).

Of course, Obito should have died at least two times, but Minato and Kakashi are actually terrible senseis. Powerful, sure, but bad at teaching assassins. That was Danzo's one saving grace: at least his students got the job done if they got the actual chance.
