Doesn't matter how, she could.
All of them are sensor types. Naruto can be classified as sensor, too.

But that means they're not a true sensor type. We only know for sure that Karin is a sensor. We don't know if Nagato really is or not because we never saw him without the Rinnegan. By your logic that means every Uzumaki should be a sensor type, but what about Kushina? She didn't show any sensor-like abilities.

In Kishi's book Nagato's classified as sensor.

i guess all summonigs are dojutsu. dojutsu deal with line of sight but nagato revive everyone from a distance. Name one other dojutsu that dont deal with line of sight.

When Naruto was going to see Nagato, and he stabbed himself with the chakra rod *Which receives, senses, and manipulates chakra*

He traced it back with Sage Jutsu by following the chakra channel. So chakra was being emitted or he would not have had any way of... receiving the signal.

Essentially, if you need to use jutsu to sense chakra, you are not a sensor. You just have the ability to sense. A real sensor will detect without looking for something or concentrating. It's always present. Sage mode has to be used intentionally. So you usually don't get the benefits. Because you don't walk around in sage mode all day.

It's like Saying: ''Naruto is a Jinchuuriki only because he has a beast in him, but if you take it away he's not''
Maybe it's due to Rinnegan, but he IS a sensor. What enables him to sense doesn't matter.
