Something that always confused me is this:

If light is energy, and the only thing that can travel as fast as light is light, does that mean that if we travel at light speed our bodies will actually become light energy? Can our physical bodies handle such a speed without breaking down into pure photons? And if we slow down, will we be able to reassemble ourselves or will something...weird happen? That's my issue with time travel. Is there a speed faster than light?

Well I think that the issue at hand is that we CAN'T travel at the speed of light. Therefore everything you say would be theory. That being said, I also believe that it is a possibility that in the case that a human body were to travel at that speed, or put in a situation where they would travel at a relative speed comparative to that of light, we would disintegrate on an atomic level. I don't think we would necessarily become photons though because that would go against matter conservation, would it not? Physically we have not achieved a speed faster than light, but one can theorize all they like.

Oh, yeah, forgot the whole photons-not-really-having-mass thing. Yes, it is theory, but then again just about anything time-travel related would be, right? It's just such a big thing to think about. I do know that scientists have theorized that things could travel faster than light through space using singularities to bend space until 2 points become one point and leaping through (also the theme for Event Horizon, if you've seen/heard of it), and that sound pretty cool. But actually putting this into practice is nearly impossible, at least from my perspective

If you use a worm hole to bend space and cheat, are you really traveling at the speed of light or just warping reality as it is?

Then technically, things can't travel faster than light by using singularities and bending space. It's just warping.

But I understood what you said nonetheless.

And traveling at the speed of light or greater doesn't seem like it'd cause you to travel in time. You'd just age at a slower rate than everyone else and could never go backwards. But if time moves forward and backwards as some have theorized, the singularities that people have thought of using as a means of travel could, in essence, warp space around time and bring two pieces that were never meant to touch in contact. Wormholes are just that Sci-Fi.

Yeah, I don't really see that happening any time soon. Also, I've heard of Event Horizon, I think I did wanna watch it. Also, side note, my apple tastes like urine.

Yeah, I feel like creating an artificial situation where something travels faster than the speed of light would cause some intense chaos in the time space continuum. That sounds so Sci-Fi, but yeah lol.
