It's safe to say Shika is about faster than the eye can see to supersonic, right? That's like 200 miles per hour.

At 30 meters, traveling at a speed of 200 miles per hour, Shika would reach Shino at 00:00:0.34 seconds, assuming Shino isn't going to move. Shino is just about as fast as well, unless you can prove to me that Shika's faster. So you're saying that two people of equal speed are going to be caught by one another in a game of "tag?" I don't think so...

Additionally, how much faster can Shika throw a Kunai or Shuriken vs running speed? It's all invariable and I don't think you or I have the time to calculate it. As far as I'm concerned, Shika's just as fast as Shino and vice versa.

If it works both ways, then the playing fields are still even.

As for the quantity of his bugs, you don't need that many to cover hands so he can't use hand signs.

Why would that even matter? Shikamaru captures Shino, not his bugs. It doesn't matter what speed rate they have, they would come at him either way (hence draining his chakra) and Shikamaru can't do a thing since he's busy with his jutsu. I don't see what your point is?

Shikamaru's chances of winning would increase a little if he had some prep time. But I dislike giving characters special treatment in battles, that's why I never give prep.

Unless Shikamaru has some way to restrain or trap Shino's bugs then he loses.

Yeah that was a good idea to now allow prep-time I don't think there are many people shikamaru couldn't beat with prep-time unless they can match his intellect or are unbelievably powerful and even then he could put up a fight in my opinion..

They both are dead if caught by the other and they both have no particular resistance/ ability to dodge to each others attacks. Which was the main reason i went with a tie.

Shikamaru needs to stand still and think or have prep to develop a GOOD plan. His plans would not be as good to say the least in the heat of battle. Most of his GREAT plans he has to take a squat.

*SHino has more bugs and can sense/track down the foe. Like kakashi said Shikamaru can not run forever. Shino is smart and can use Bug clones to slow down Shikamaru

the bugs act on their own its like telepathically. Shino does not need to move. Look at his battles his hands are usually in his pockets and he mentally controls the bugs


That is a BIG IF Shino gets caught

30 m`s in the forest of death means that shika is hidden, then he has all the time he needs to make a strategy, since there is no preparation then shino did not pin him with a bug
