Just realized IF they did end up having a kid it would be the hier to the Hyuga clan and Hokage's kid. A lot can still happen and there is a chance Naruto is might die at the end.

Death would be a great option, but I don't think that will happen in the end. If Naruto dies, who will contain the Juubi? Who will be able to divide those powers again? It would kind of kill his character development, his ultimate goal of being Hokage and bringing peace to the ninja world would end!

Its great that we have a romantic subplot, and i mean it brings just about as many legions of shippers as any story with romantic subplots, but still! This has always been a manga about hope, self confidence and realizing your goals! I just don't see Kishi killing them off, it would break their development.

I don't get it why others don't get it, sorry for my wording.

Also, Kishi's interview gives us interesting hopes for yet more cool chars, I'm very curious to find it out.

Naruto becoming Hokage is looking increasingly possible. His ability to win people over, rally his allies and beat his enemies in the name of peace, not personal gain, looks like it'll be the stuff of legend in the distant future of the Shinobi world. His own intellect and wisdom have been steadily growing, shown in his tactical use of Shadow Clones, his ability to create his own Jutsu and the way he can put a higher cause above all of his own desires. Yeah, he's not a masterful tactician like Shikaku or Shikamaru and he's not level headed and intelligent like Kakashi, but Hokage is the job of a leader, someone who can inspire, and nobody does that better than Naruto. Not to mention the fact that it looks like they'll be needing a new Hokage soon anyway :P.

As for Hinata becoming the heir to her clan, I frankly think it was stupid of Hiashi to shove her aside in the first place. He based his judgement on how skillfull and strong willed a child was. Seeing her in battle, witnessing the full extent of her training, watching her willingly almost sacrifice her life again for the person she cares about, should all be enough to change his mind. Moreover, he won't need an heir for war. He won't need an heir for a time of uncertainty. After this war is over, there'll be peace and co-operation, and he'll need an heir who can lead the clan with compassion and kindness; a leader to suit the times.

That said, we have no idea what Hanabi is like these days. She could be just as loving as Hinata, with even more skill and confidence to go with it. It could be that, despite Hinata's demonstrations of skill and courage, Hanabi is simply the better ninja, and better suited to leading. I'm not sure this would bother Hinata either, now that she seems to have achieved all the goals she set for herself. She's earned the recognition of her clan (clearly), and the respect and admiration (if not love) of the guy she loves. And honestly, she is a bit too soft for her own good. If something bad did happen and she had to make a hard decision within her own clan, I still don't think she'd be able to.

TL;DR, Naruto for Hokage, Hinata for heir PROBABLY.

I think this whole idea of different countries and different villages will all change after this war. Everything will be unified as people's view of how the world should be run changes. Naruto won't be hokage, but could possibly lead all of the ninja world
