12 years of testing and they only found out that he was a "monster"

I really dont want to argue about this. I just know that I'v seen every character's past in the entire series and the only one that really tugs at my heart strings is Gaara's. I feel without a doubt that his is the worst. But you probably feel the same about Kimimaro though. Gaara was a Jinchuriki, and while we all know that Jinchuriki arent the only people with sad backgrounds, we do know that most of them with the exception of a few have some of the most tragic backgrounds in the series.

Yes the assassination attempts that were led by his father could have been tests. But if the council had any say so in any of them (which we know they did) then they would have been real assassination attempts. The council hated Gaara. When Akatsuki kidnapped him they didnt care. They wanted him gone. They badmouthed him and Kankuro just about went off the hook on one of them. (Go Kankuro!)

This is not a very smart topic to be debating. Seeing this from an emotional point of view, people are most likely going to pick the character whose childhood they were touched by the most.

Gaara and Kimimaro suffered in two different ways, how can you even compare these two?

I'm gonna go ahead and counter these arguments since I was too busy do it when i dropped in here for some hours ago.

-Never recieved outside pain Yeah, because he had a monster inside of him that could kill basically anyone who approached him.

I was not just talking about him I meant in general. And Garra was not harmed from the attacks so yeah safe

yeah to fight other villages in war like situations which never really happened. He just went on to be a ninja and fight like a normal person

yes put Kimmi had NOBODY

better then in a cramped jailcell

better than being alone and ignored in a jail cell only used like a gun
