Mia entered the gym and was greeted by Brandy. She sent out Sentret and Mia sent out Vulpix.

"Extrasensory!" Vulpix fired a wave of psychic energy at the Sentret.

"Dig!" The Sentret burrowed through the ground and jumped out and attempted to attack Vulpix.

"Shadow Ball!" As Sentret flew towards Vulpix, it was hit by a ball of shadows directly! "Quickly! Follow up with Flanethrower!" Sentret was too slow to dodge the flames and was hit! But Sentret struggled a bit but got up!

"Bounce!" Sentret bounced into the air, out of the range most of Vulpix' attacks. Sentret started to descend on Vulpix.

"Extrasensory!" Vulpix released a violent wave of psy and it hit Sentret, blowing it off course and it fainted. Brandy returned it and threw out a Cleffa.

"Hyper Beam!" Cleffa released a surging wave of energy at Vulpix, she was hit! She was struggling to get up but made it.

"Flamethrower!" Kyuu released a strong stream of fire at Cleffa.

"Dodge and use Metronome!" Cleffa moved and wagged it's finger at the sky. It then used Water Pulse at Kyuu. Kyuu dashed away.

"Confuse Ray!" Kyuu released two glowing spheres around Cleffa and Cleffa became confused. "Finish it off with a Flamethrower and Extrasensory!" Kyuu fired a large stream of fire at the Cleffa and the Extrasensory in turn boosted Flamethrower's power and speed. Cleffa was knocked out by the force. Brandy gave Mia the badge and Mia healed up at the center.

Umbreon was hit by the Iron Tail, she sped backwards.

"Shadow Ball and follow up with Wish!" Umbreon hurled a Shadow Ball t the Flaafy and then wished.

"Faint Attack!" Umbreon followed up with attempting to attack Flaafy while hiding in the shadows.

Black Aura? Ai wondered. Never before had she heard of someone with black aura. If her guess was correct, then they couldnt be just your average criminals. They most likely would be very deadly. Ai knew that she and Wharley would have to be cautious of how they approached them. But then again, both of them were powerful, and Ai was certain that they could handle themselves, especially Wharley. Ai sent out a wave of her own energy so that she could help detect any changes in the natural flow of aura around her and Wharley. And sure enough, after a while she sensed a foul presence in the area. It was disrupting the natural aura waves that were being given off by the other people and pokemon. There. Thats got to be them. She relayed to Wharley with her thoughts. She was sure that he had sensed it as well. His tracking skills with aura were very acute. They both headed toward the area that they had felt the disturbance, and Ai wondered who they would be facing.

All of a sudden two men in black jumped out of the bushes and clubbed Wharley over the head , before disipearing along with him. strangely, his staff still lay on the ground.

Ai didnt have time to react as two figures suddenly appeared out of nowhere and knocked Wharley out cold. They appeared to be men dressed in black cloaks of some sort. Ai tried to attack them before they got away using the aura abilities that Wharley had been teaching her while they were on the road, but her knowledge of how to manipulate her aura for offense was still pretty vague. Her initial attack failed, and the culprits ran off before she had time to send out Riolu or her other Pokemon. "No!" Ai yelled as they disappeared from her view. She had no idea how those crooks had managed to pull off an ambush on the two of them without her or Wharley being able to detect their aura. Ai collapsed onto the ground, skinning her knees in the process. She winced, but had no time to dwell on the pain. She had failed to protect her best friend. She had feared this would happen all along. Just because she couldnt guide her aura the way she was supposed to. But before she could beat herself up any further over the matter, she noticed out of the corner of her eye that Aron's staff was lying on the ground a few feet away from her. In their haste to capture Wharley, his kidnappers had left behind the guardian's staff! All hope was not lost it seemed. Whoever they were, Ai was sure that they must be pretty stupid. She got up, brushing off her knees, and went to retrieve the staff. Once she had it in her hands, she decided she would go search for Wharley. If she had any trouble, she was almost certain that Aron would be able to guide her. She called Riolu out of his pokeball, as she would need his help as well. "Riolu, Wharley has been captured. We have to find him. But the people who kidnapped him cant be tracked with aura. Well, not those two, it seemed." Riolu replied with a bark. There's got to be other members of their syndicate in this area who I can track. I was sure I felt an ominous aura back there...Ai thought. Just then, Riolu barked again, trying to get Ai's attention. "What is it Riolu?" Ai asked. Riolu pointed to what looked like pokeballs lying in a patch of overgrown grass. "Oh no! Those are Wharley's pokeballs!" Now Ai was really concerned. They had taken Wharley, and in the process he had lost his pokeballs. "Tch. Now what is he going to do?" Ai said frustrated. Wharley's only chances of escape now were if he fought his way out by hand. "Oh no. I hoped it wouldnt come to this. What if they harm Wharley?" Ai was confident that Wharley would be able to find a way out though. She searched the area with her aura again, and eventually she picked up on that same dark aura that she had sensed before. She followed in the direction it was emanating from, carrying Wharley's pokeballs along with her, as well as Aron's staff.

"Tailwind" A wind swept Gliscor off the ground as it took to the skies, easily getting out of the way of the Heat Wave. Gliscor was then forced the the ground by psychic. Before it hit the ground, the tailwind picked back up and Gliscor was once again in the skies. "Metal Claw" Gliscor's fist turned to metal as it flew next to Nu-Nu. After the attack, Gliscor instantly let off a dark aura all around it in a circular form. "Dark Pulse" She said, late.

"Iron Tail to counter!" Flaffy met the ball of ghost energy with a tail made of complete iron, dealing some damage to Flaffy itself. "Cotton Guard and tackle it! Then Signal Beam!" Pool yelled out. Flaffy became covered in odd spores. When Umbreon reappeared to attack, the damage to Flaffy was minimized and it tackled Umbreon, trapping it on the ground. It then fired a Signal Beam right in at it's face.

"But let's see how your Quagsire can handle another Quagsire" Sheridan threw out her pokeball, releasing the Quagsire. "Earthquake" The ground rumbled below his Quagsire, hopefully dealing a lot of damage.

Wharley Wakes up to find him self surrounded by pokemon veiled in black aura, with his hands tied* 'Wow, you thought rope could hold me? he said groggily. 'He tried to break it, but his strenght seemed to abandon him. He fainted, after sending a faint signal telling Ai his location.

I just felt like I had to re-post this. Since I edited a few parts and added Kitten's part to it. I totally managed to leave that out before, somehow. >.<
But anyway, here is the history of the aura guardians. Created by me, Bombs, and Pie. Im a stickler for plot, so I had to be the one to go and make sure all of this made sense. But anyway, I can thank Pie for her part in this and Bombs too. ^^ You both are very creative.
Wikipedia says "The Aura Guardians disappeared from history for some undisclosed reason a long time before the present era." Well now me, Pie and Bombs have come up with a reason. lol. Our story should be the sequel to the Lucario move. Ahaha. The three main characters would be Ai, Wharley and Kitten. The story of Aron's descendant, (Wharley), the descendant of the first people Aron taught, (Ai), and the trainer who managed to find the burst heart that Lucario's mother was sealed in before the Lucario movie began (Kitten). In their quest to defeat the evil Aura masters who caused the Aura guardians to all but disappear from history.

Aura Guardian-Has the capability to produce shields with aura, and heal the wounded. Cannot attack. (Like Riley) (And Ai's mom)

Aura "Master"-Has the sole ability to attack with aura, and can close the hearts of pokemon. These people appeared during the era of war between people and pokemon. They discovered their abilities on their own, since Aron did not pass down the knowledge of how to attack with aura to his disciples. Aron believed that only pokemon should attack with Aura, as humans would abuse that power, but pokemon wont. The only disciple of his that he taught how to attack was Lucario. After the aura guardians started abusing their abilities (and became team darkness) all aura users were framed as being evil and were shunned. And the aura guardians who only used their powers for good, were ashamed and went into hiding.

King/and or Queen of the guardians: Apparently in order to be a King or Queen you have to be the direct descendant of royal blood, and capable of fully using your aura abilities. Not all people can do this. Only Aron, Wharley, and Ai have the capability. And Ai's mother, who is now deceased, but chose never to use her powers in that way. In other words, Ai's mother chose not to be queen and instead married a man who was not directly related to Aron, and was not destined to be king. She then became a high priestess. Ai, after she was born, was then thrown into a world where she was forbidden by her father to use her powers to their full potential. All because Ai's mother was framed by aura masters who dont follow Aron's teachings, and also dont know how to use their aura to its full potential, even though they think they do.

Aura Warrior: Kitten is an aura warrior because of her ability to combine her spirit with the Lucario that was sealed into a burst heart. (Like in the reburst manga) This alters her physical body as well. She undergoes a sort of half-transformation into a Lucario. The Lucario that was sealed into the burst heart she owns was the Lucario that taught Aron to use aura. After she was sealed away, Aron then taught her son, who was Aron's partner Lucario in the movie. He also had other disciples, who were humans, although they didnt have the ability to use their aura for offense.

Then the 1000 year time period that I came up with starts, where a few aura guardians, who later came to be known as rogues or "aura masters" (and even later become team darkness) learn how to use their aura to attack. This started more wars like the one in the Lucario movie. And now, all modern-day aura guardians hide their existence and their identities are not usually known. Sometimes they themselves arent even aware that they are aura guardians. Or have the potential to be. (Like Ash. And Riley)

Ai was running as fast as she could. She had felt just the faintest trace of Wharley's aura just now when she had been scanning the area. "C'mon Riolu! We have to hurry!" Ai said to Riolu. Just then, Ai sensed the presence of someone else not far from where she and Riolu were. Its that dark aura again. She thought to herself. Just then, a couple people showed up from out of nowhere and blocked Ai's path. Their aura's were pitch black. "Where do you think you're going?" They asked her. "Team darkness. What have you done to my friend?!" Ai was getting angry. "So the aura guardian is your friend. Dont worry. He's going to be...safe..with us." They replied. "You'd better tell me where your keeping him!" Ai yelled at them. "I dont think so little girl. Besides, someone like you hasnt got a chance of rescuing him anyway. He has business with team darkness. You just need to stay out of our way!" They said to her. "No. I dont know what business you creeps seem to think you have with Wharley, but if you wont let me through, I'll just have to force my way past you!" Ai declared. "Go. Houndour." One of the men said, calmly. He threw a pokeball, and a Houndour appeared. But Ai immediately noticed that something about this Houndour wasnt right. It glared at her in silent rage. Never before had she seen a pokemon with such hatred in its eyes. And not only that, there was a strange black aura emanating from its body. Ai had never seen a pokemon like this. "Wh-what have you...done?.." Ai said. She was shocked. Who would do something like this to a pokemon? Ai could sense none of the normal vitality from this pokemon the way she could normal ones. There were no traces of emotion at all coming from it. There was no question about it: this pokemon's heart had been closed shut. "Riii...." Beside her, Riolu was whimpering. He was obviously struck with grief for this poor pokemon the same way that Ai was. Riolu could also see its aura, after all. "C'mon little girl. You talk tough, but lets see you beat this pokemon." The man said. His partner only stood behind him with his arms folded, enjoying the show. "I dont know what you think you're doing, here, but I'm going to stop you right now! Lets go, Riolu!" "Ri!" Riolu responded to Ai, leaping into battle. "Ok Riolu, force palm!" Ai called out to her partner. "Shadow Rush." The shady man told his Houndour, with a confidant expression. He was arrogant, and was sure that he would win this. Before Riolu had time to make contact with the foe's Houndour, the Houndour landed the attack on Riolu. Riolu was sent flying backwards, and Ai leaped to catch him before he crashed into the ground. "Riolu!" She yelled, as she grabbed him, falling backwards with Riolu in her arms. "Riolu, are you ok?" She asked her friend. "Ri..." Riolu replied wearily. That shadow attack was somehow super effective on Riolu. And that pokemon is so strong! Who are these people?! Ai said in her head, frantic. She was really worried about Wharley now. If these were the people who had taken him, he was in real danger. "I dont know who you are or how you have made that pokemon's aura black..." Ai said. "But I'm not going to let you get away with harming Riolu!" Ai stated. Her resolve was strong. "What?! You can see the aura of this pokemon?! You must be an aura guardian too! Blast, you brats have popped up all over the place recently! Looks like I'll have to eliminate you and your friends!" The man threatened Ai. What? What's he talking about? Me and my friends? I thought he only had wharley! Who else is he talking about? "Go Houndour Shadow Blitz!" The man called out to his Houndour. He was no longer taking Ai lightly, and she knew that he had all the intentions of finishing her right then and there. "No!" She yelled, throwing up a barrier around herself and Riolu. "What?!" The man seemed astounded that Ai had managed to block his attack. "Why you little brat!" He yelled in frustration. "Help me out here, 009!" He called out to his partner who was still standing beside him, who's code name was apparently double-O-nine. On his orders, the other man threw a pokeball as well, and out appeared a Golbat, that seemed to have a black aura like the other pokemon. "Golbat, Shadow Storm! Attack both of them!" The other man ordered his Golbat, and suddenly two tornados of black aura whipped up and headed straight for Ai and Riolu. She figured they were done for. But Riolu wouldnt let her give up. He barked at her, and Ai realized what they had to do. "Ok, Riolu, lets do it!" Ai said to Riolu. They created a shield, stronger than before, similiar to the one Ai had used to defend herself from Wharley's attack when they had battled. This also shocked the two men. "She's combining her aura shield with Riolu's! No!" The man in front said, angrily. "Grab that Riolu!" He ordered his teammate. "I dont think so. If you want to play two-on-one against Riolu and me, then that's just fine! We're gonna take you out! Let's do it, Riolu! Like we practised with Wharley!" Ai held out her hands and Riolu held out his paws and together they started to create a combined aura sphere. It was huge, and they almost couldnt contain all of the power that they had poured into it. "Alright, now!" On Ai's signal, they sent the aura sphere directly towards the two men and their pokemon, and the men could only stand there with no way to counter or evade. The giant aura sphere struck, knocking out both men and their pokemon. Ai and Riolu had won, and Ai sighed a sigh of relief. She walked over to where the two fainted pokemon lay, unable to hold back a tear as it fell down her cheek. "This is...all I can do..." Ai said, as she held each palm over the fainted pokemon. A blue aura wave washed over the shadow pokemon's bodies, and their aura turned back to normal. Riolu gave Ai a concerned bark. "Dont worry, Riolu. I'll be fine." Ai assured him. After she had finished, she tried to stand, but realized that restoring those pokemon to their original states had been more of a challenge than she had initially thought. Riolu walked up beside her and gave her a concerned look. "Im-ok." She said, finally able to stand. "We have to continue on to where Wharley is." she said, picking up Aron's staff again and all of Wharley's pokeballs as she headed in the direction of where his aura was.

Ai finally arrived in the chamber where Wharley was being held. It was kind of like some sort of underground jail with prison cells lined up in columns along each wall. The tunnel she had followed to find him had been cut through a mountainside, and she now suspected that she was deep below the mountain's base. She could still sense Wharley's Aura, although it had become harder to tell his exact whereabouts with the walls of the tunnel so close together. There was hardly any space down here, and the waves of aura she felt were squeezed in together and were reverberating off the walls of the surrounding tunnel. Finally, she realized she was close. Wharley's aura was very strong here. Just then, she noticed a black figure in one of the cells. It was Wharley. She ran over to the locked bars of the cell and called out to him to see if he was unconscious. He was. "Crap. Riolu, use your Aura Sphere to attack the lock on the cell!" She told Riolu. Riolu was just about to release his aura sphere when suddenly, two cloaked figures appeared behind Ai. "What do you think you're doing?" One of them said with a sinister voice.Ai wheeled around, but was too slow. One of them grabbed her and pulled her arms behind her back. Aron's staff dropped to the ground. "Riolu...ugh. Grab the staff!" She told Riolu as she fought to free herself from the person's grasp. "You've caused us quite the trouble, my dear. But your little escapade is now over." The man who was holding her arms said in her ear. "I...ngh..dont think so! Riolu, Force Palm! Help me get loose!" Ai told Riolu. Riolu struck at the man who was holding Ai, and he released her before jumping out of the way. "Good, job." Ai told Riolu. Ai wasnt sure exactly how these two people had managed to get by her without her noticing. It was just like when those other two people kidnapped Wharley. She hadnt sensed them at all! She had only picked up the aura of something else in the area, and she now realized that it had most likely been the aura of the shadow pokemon. "I'm getting my friend back. So you two will move out of my way or I'll finish you off like I did to those other two back there." Ai said to the two shady people's faces. "We cant let you keep interfering. Goodbye." The man who had grabbed her suddenly used aura in the palm of his hand and threw it at Ai. She was flung into a wall and nearly knocked unconscious. "Seize the Riolu." The man who had attacked Ai said. Ai opened her eyes. She wasnt about to let them take Riolu. "Riolu, throw me the staff!" Ai knew this was her only hope. She had seen with her own two eyes that this man used aura. There was no doubt. He was a rogue guardian. It was likely that all of them were rogues. The other two had not been this powerful. He wasnt just any rogue guardian. He was an aura master. His partner probably was too. Riolu threw the guardian staff to Ai, before the other aura master captured him in what appeared to be a black pokeball. Ai knew what that meant. "NOOO!!!" She yelled as she grabbed the staff. That pokeball would close the heart of her Riolu. "Take him to be trained with all of the other shadow pokemon." The other rogue said. The man obeyed, and disappeared out of the tunnel with Riolu. Ai was overcome with Rage. She held Aron's staff out in front of her, and her aura turned red. She was at her full capabilities right now, and she was about to unleash her power through Aron's staff and destroy the man standing in front of her. But just then, she heard a voice coming from within the staff. Ai. I know you have dreamed of becoming the bridge between all aura guardians. This man before you, no matter how evil, does not deserve to die. Think about what you stand for, Ai. You are going to become queen, and prove that aura guardians are noble people who have helped save the world for countless generations. Ai was stunned. She could not go through with her attack. That had been Aron's voice calling out to her just now from within the staff. The aura master in front of her stood frozen in place, a look of pure amazement on his face. "I cant believe it! I thought you looked familiar! You're the spitting image of the priestess! You are destined to be the queen to the throne of the guardians. This is wonderful. Now I have both of you." The man before her spoke with an eerie tone. His face was dark. Ai didnt say a word. She held Aron's staff back out in front of her, aiming to unleash just enough aura at this man to knock him out. But suddenly, the man attacked her, faster than she could react, and struck her in the back of the head with his aura. She fell unconscious, but before her vision went black she yelled for Wharley, trying to get him to wake up. Someone had to save Riolu. She didnt care if they killed her just as long as someone saved Riolu. Her vision faded completely, and the last thing she heard was the man who had knocked her out say "none of your guardian friends will be able to find you. This cloak im going to put on you will hide your aura." Ai knew this was pretty much it for her, but what this man didnt know was that she had thrown Wharley's pokeballs into the cell with him before he had hit her. So Ai knew that even if she were going to die, atleast Wharley would be able to save himself....

Wharley dropped, and hit the man that was about to put the cloak on Ai on the head, knocking him out cold. 'Thanks to you, i'm going to be late to the gym.' He walked over to Ai. He had somehow broken the rope, which was binding his aura. 'Ai, awaken friend, it is me.' He saw Ai's eyelids open. 'I know they have Riolu. do not fear, Riley will take care of him. yes, Riley is working undercover here. remember what i said he was? now, he will meet us outside. quickly we must go!' With that, Wharley picked up Ai's limp form, and started running.
