There is more than one way to interact and yet confirm the pairing.
Actually, I'd rather see Hinata being MORE useful in action, than just ogle about her "Naruto-kun", like Sakura used to do with her "Sasuke-kun" - not that Hinata is famous for doing so, mind you.

NO. sakura still has feelings for sasuke. She still hopes that he comes back to the village. Not really 'friendly' since most of the NaruHina moments have been BIG IN YOUR FACE moments compared to the down-time, small things Naruto and Sakura have(like walking around the village and just talking ya know?). But I do think Naruto and Hinata's relationship is a friendship rather than a relationship right now.

It's kind of hard to explain so sorry if I butcher it up. But basically from Naruto I'm not getting this 'Wow this girl is amazing!' or even 'I should really get to know her better'(yet?).

I think to Naruto, Hinata is still on the same level of his friends like Shikamaru(who similarly pulled him out of a dark spot with help from Iruka) as opposed to Kiba who is just...there haha.

Naruto still hasn't had an honest talk with Sakura about his and her feelings and Sakura has been giving mixed signals since the very beginning of Part 2(and this is probably the NaruSaku shipper in me but I also think there are hints in Part 1 when Sasuke was still around).

So...yeah I'm still hoping. Didn't only Hinata say 'I love you'? Naruto never said it back...

Yes, we CAN enforce NS (though this would be VERY forced from many sides), but I simply don't think it would be FAIR.
Again, the more Hinata does for Naruto, the less fair NS becomes.

I see what you mean but NaruSaku is more friendly since they have never experessed any love more than friendship. yes NH is friendly BUT ONLY ON NARUTO's SIDE!! Hinata has expressed more than friendly emotions. naruto and Sakura have not expressed the intense emotion of love for each other. Sakura has those feelings for Saskue and Naruto's loving feelings for Sakura have decreased or at best stayed the same since Part 1. I think we can assume what that means and how powerful it was. Besides the point is that this was Hinata's goal and DREAM!!! WHen she was running to save Naruto with the rest of the shinoboi alliance do you rember what Hinata wanted??? TO HOLD NARUTO'S HAND!!! ANd guess what IT HAPPENED!!! Naturally I respectfully disagree. To some NaruHina fans yes it may look cruel if Hinata doesn't get her man, but again I believe from Hinata's standpoint it wouldn't be. She's not some poor, helpless little creature and like I said I think if this most recent chapter(and hopefully the next chapter will prove the same thing) proved anything, it's that Hinata doesn't NEED Naruto anymore. She can stand on her own two feet without him so I don't think it would be cruel if she doesn't get him. She'll be fine. I honestly think she would be happy with whoever Naruto chooses to be with even if it is Sakura.

Also I have disagree with NaruSaku being forced. BUT instead of spending pages and pages pointing out the moments they had I'm just going to sit back and hope that Kishimoto does make the pairing happen in a believable way. I used to to NaruHina would be incredibly forced(and actually I still do think it would be a little forced) but I must admit that its chances were bumped up a little with this chapter.

LOL both Sakura and Hinata have done great things for Naruto. Sakura has been doing things for him since they met. It's just Hinata's moments are the IN YOUR FACE moments while Sakura's are small things thruout the manga :P(starting with being one of the few people who acknowledged him and saved him from his loneliness).

I don't think it's fair to compare what they've done for him because in the grand scheme of things Sakura has QUANTITY over Hinata and the QUALITY is obviously very subjective.

But you have your opinion and I have mine and I just hope Kishimoto will start proving ONE of us right in these upcoming chapters.

Well I agree with the first few sentences except obviously that Naruto and Sakura have never expressed intense love towards one another. And I disagree about Naruto's feelings(you have no proof they have decreased but I will admit it can be argued that his feelings stayed the same depending on how much you think he liked her in part 1 ;P) BUT I know by now that nothing will change your mind there so I'm just gonna wait until Naruto repeats who exactly he loves again.

About the bold, Sakura hugged Naruto in public which is also a HUGE thing in Japan. And she tried to feed him in public. And she hugged him again. So I could make an argument there that Sakura's feelings for Naruto are also changing.

Well I think she has as early as the Zabuza arc when Naruto fought Zabuza all determined like and she was like 'wow this is Naruto?'. Aside from that I'm thinking of the Pain arc and chapter 573. In Naruto's defense there, he's been spending so much time with her that he already has a good idea of her strentghs. In chapter 558/559

But it's not the same 'wow' feeling I got from the NaruSaku moment when Sakura healed Kankuro for example.

Sakura's comedic claps could be argued, however there was a moment in early part two where Sakura's slap could be compared to Hinata's.

Naruto was under fake Itachi's genjutsu and was falling prey to all of the horrors it gave him(about Sasuke, Sakura's and Gaara's words , etc.). Sakura gave Naruto a gentle smack to knock him out of him. Sure she didn't give him a speech but she did smack him for the right reasons there(and he did NEED it).

Naruto is/was definitely suffering. Remember the hospital scene? And even at the Valley of End he thought of Sakura's crying face when fighting Sasuke. And of course, OF COURSE....!

Sai spent a few pages telling Sakura that Naruto is suffering because of her(and Sasuke).

Of course it all looks good now but again we haven't seen Naruto and Sakura have an honest to goodness talk about their feelings. So...waiting for that...

Again Team 7 is not happy. Naruto ACTED happy but Sai revealed that was only a brave front he put up for Sakura's sake. We don't know how any of them truly feel because they haven't SAID anything yet. I'm waiting for the talk(between ALL of them too. Not just Naruto and Sakura though a conversation between those two would be really nice).

Sorry if I confused you, but before I believed the only thing Hinata had for her character was Naruto. Even the Hyuuga clan thing was mainly Neji's story(. But with this chapter Hinata CAN now have something else to strive for, head of the Hyuuga clan(Hinata herself never expressed a desire to be the head of the Hyuuga as is her birthright. But now I see that could be entirely due to lack of confidence(as in 'I don't think I'll get it so why bother thinking about it?'). But now she can really vs. her sister.). Assuming the next chapter has Hiashi's thoughts on the matter, I think Hinata can go in a different direction and NOT rely anymore on Naruto's lack of answer to her feelings.

Both Sakura and Hinata needed Naruto in the beginning. There's no question there. They wouldn't have developed the way they did had it not been for him. However I think Hinata's story is complete here because as you state, she succeed in her dream(she's by Naruto's side holding his hand and she knows he respects her).

On the other hand, Team 7's story is far from over and by that I mean Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke still need each other. From a romantic POV, I think Sakura certainly needs Naruto more than she needs Sasuke and I think Naruto needs Sakura more than he needs Hinata...but I also think if all else fails they will go the way of Jiraiya and Tsunade hah.

For her character definitely! For NaruHina? It helps a lot but it doesn't confirm it. We'll have to see next chapter(unless Kishi decides to drag it on some more).

Let's just say, that I personally would feel offended if Kishi just ditches Hinata.
Sounds funny/stupid, but WHY then is he producing all those "in your face"s, if he has no intention to utilize them in the end?
You say, character development.
OK, so let it be a GUY doing the same feats (as a GREAT FRIEND) - I would say nothing at all.
But since it's THE only girl that initially loved the main guy, I'm simply feeling FAIR that she should be rewarded.
Plus, simple math of NH+SS covering up EVERYONE in a happy way.
And the ONLY one who is to be "switching" for it to happen, is Naruto.
So, basically, ONE guy can make THREE more people happy.
I'd go for the odds.
As a bonus:
He never showed any NEGATIVE feelings towards Hinata (so he just needs to grow his positive one, not get rid of negative), unlike Sakura initially HATING him (even if she outgrew it by now).

Naruto's feelings have decreased or at least stayed the same. He is not obsseded with trying to impress her. He does not compliment her beauty like he used to. Plus Sakura has ticked off Naruto instead of the other way around (ya know with the I love you being a lie). Compared to Naruto's passion for her in Part one the love has decreased. Naruto does not ask Sakura for dates as much and looked at her in a romantic fashion.

Yes she did do that but What NH did was more public. Also Sakura did not feed him (attempted). The hug was friendly but good points.... too bad she would rather be hugging SASKUE!!!

It was the first time Sakura ever did something useful and took charge and Naruto has not seen this side of Sakura in well ever... it was just like when Sakura saw Naruto take on Zabuza. THey were just impressed

the K11 never risked their lives and take a bullet for Naruto. THey never personally gave him a pep talk. Unlike Sakura the others had to go out of their way to help him since Naruto was not on his team. Sakura had the most time to help him but she just sits there. Look at her in the war currently . I am saying that Hinata and Kushina both slap. Naruto was being hysteriocal btw. Bassically both ladies are phsyciall when need be. THey are physciall.. PERIOD!! Which means they are similar. Most NS fans said they were not similar because Hinata was not physicall which we see is FALSE

The slap that sakura gave was like a "Hey you okay"
but
Hinata's slap was like " What are you doing you idoit! Get your head in the game!"
The slaps were totally different. I did not even know that was a slap that Sakura gave.
Naruto was not in such a dire situation when Sakura slapped him

She wouldn't be ditched if Kishimoto gave her something else. Liiiike head of the clan. besides Hinata isn't the main character. She's a side character so her needs and wants come second to the main three(Team 7).

EDIT: Not mention Naruto likes her a lot already. It's be different if he didn't acknowledge her or something but he does so it would be impossible for Hinata's story to end on a 'ditched' note because she got what she wanted.

OK, so let it be a GUY doing the same feats (as a GREAT FRIEND) - I would say nothing at all.
But since it's THE only girl that initially loved the main guy, I'm simply feeling FAIR that she should be rewarded.

That's a funny way to look at it. Then shouldn't Naruto be 'rewarded' for all the things he's done for Sakura?

Plus, simple math of NH+SS covering up EVERYONE in a happy way.
And the ONLY one who is to be "switching" for it to happen, is Naruto.
So, basically, ONE guy can make THREE more people happy.

That's assuming Naruto and Sasuke even like Hinata and Sakura that way. So far no hints have been given that they do. Why force themselves in a relationship they don't want and be miserable(and make the girls miserable) when all them could be perfectly happy if NaruSaku were to happen?

Sasuke won't be heartbroken if his teammates decide to go out and I already said Hinata would be happy for Naruto no matter what.

Also how does Lee factor into your equation?

As a bonus:
He never showed any NEGATIVE feelings towards Hinata (so he just needs to grow his positive one, not get rid of negative), unlike Sakura initially HATING him (even if she outgrew it by now).

Naruto and Sakura have odds right now but I think they'll get thru them.
