PTS Naruto vs Himura Kenshin

Two main characters of two great manga series. Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) and Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin). Who would win?

Location: The Valley of the End.
Distance: Both combatants stand on one of the two statues.
Knowledge: None.
Preparations: None.
Intention: To win without killing if possible (might change to deathmatch because of Nine Tails/Hitokiri Battousai).

Who would win?

My own conclusion:

I vote for Kenshin Himura over Uzumaki Naruto for many reasons: superior speed (able to dodge machine gun bullets), superior close combat ability (sword vs fists), superior combat experience (fighting 19th century soldiers for many years of war), and superior ability to read the opponent. I have no doubts that Kenshin would be able to dodge Rasengans or pierce through lines of Shadow clones with each, as well as blocking any kunai or shuriken thrown at him. And once it gets to a close match, Kenshin will win easily. There is no way for Naruto, even with the Nine-tails, to stop the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. And I think that even if Naruto gets chakra from the Nine-tails, he will still be too slow to combat Kenshin, who can easily dodge bullets and foresee any attack.
Final conclusion: Kenshin wins.

Bijuu Mode Naruto blitzes. Even if he can't, it doesn't matter since Kenshin can't do anything to him.

Kenshin could soundly defeat Base Naruto. Not sure on Sage Mode although he wouldn't want to receive a good solid hit, but I am pretty sure he is not getting past Kyuubi Chakra Mode Naruto especially if the latter form spams multiple clones.

Isn't Sage Mode only available to Naruto in Shippuden? This is the first season, so as far as I know Naruto can only use Rasengan, Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu and at most, get one tail. And even with that single tail, Sasuke Uchiha was able to predict Naruto's movements, which I think that Kenshin should also be able to do. Besides, Kenshin is faster than Naruto since most opponents can see Naruto at his best in PTS... Kenshin on the other hand moves faster than the eye can see at his best.

Faster than eye speed despite what most people might think is actually relative to the opponent in truth. Still doesn't change what you said.

This is Naruto about the time when he fights Sasuke in the first season, so he can get one tail at most and has no Shippuden abilities. I honestly can't see Kenshin losing except if Naruto gets his single allowed tail. And even then I think that Kenshin is twice as fast, and let's not remember that he has two techniques (Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki and Ryu-Kan-Sen) that Naruto has no way of blocking (or surviving, if Kenshin turns his sword).

I do recall Kenshin can casually cut steel. So what about the two other techniques in greatest feats?

Naruto only stands a chance with 1 tail in this form.

Also I think shippuden is only the anime name.

I have seen Kenshin cut swords apart, blow rocks to pieces and overwhelm a machine gunner at 50 m distance... so Kenshin has far more feats than PTS Naruto.

Agreed, Naruto only stands a chance with 1 tail... and even then it is a very small chance. And if Kenshin gets bloodlusted he will be even faster than before and should be able to cut Naruto to pieces with ease.

Well PTS Naruto is doomed.

Well you see PTS is Pre Time Skip, but it can also stand for Post Time Skip.
Thats why I didn't think much of it.

Oh

But what about Shippuden Naruto? I don't think he can match Kenshin's speed except possibly when he has multiple tails, and even then it will be difficult for slow ranged attacks to hit Kenshin.

rasengan, taking a chidori that was equal or more powerful to the rasengan that blew up a steel water tower, 1000 plus clones, and gamabunta. That is all what kenshin has to deal with. Also speed would be in the range that blitzed Haku in demon mode. Haku blitzes jonins.

Because its older and not as popular in comparison to Naruto. Take in mind the current generation of watchers. There was poster who should be older than 14 who knew and watched Kenshin, 1st Hokage was his name, but he left some time ago.

Hey I know all about Hitokiri Battousai. And I say Naruto wins only because of his ridiculous techniques. Thanks to Kuchiyose no Jutsu Gamabunta can bail him out, otherwise I'd say the fight goes similar to how Kimimaro was owning Naruto during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Gamabunta is just such an unwieldy opponent and thanks to the nature of fights in the Rurouni Kenshin universe, something Kenshin would be completely unused to. Remember that Gamabunta and Shukaku were making miniature storms when their attacks collided. Kenshin can't do anything to stop multiple water bullets.

Yeah, Gamabunta is Naruto's trump card here, so unless Kenshin defeats him before he summons Gamabunta, Naruto wins this
