Anyone hoping for some kind of major innovation shouldn't get their hopes up too high. Do you seriously think they're going to deviate too much from the formula that has made them such huge amounts of money? I expect they'll keep churning out the same thing over and over with nothing different other than more Pokemon, regions and slight upgrades on graphics, etc for years and years to come

Yeah. I think they eventually need to do something different. But I have to admit pokemon black/white and black 2/white 2 were different in a lot of ways than the previous generation games. The best thing about the games was that the pokemon are animated in-battle now. They just need to improve the quality of the graphics some. Which I think they intend to do little-by-little. Because I noticed that they added grass to the green ground patches in the re-makes of black and white during battles. Now all they have to do is improve the quality of the pokemon when they move. The pixels look very blown-up right now. Also, something that irks me: I wish they would make the pc easier to organize. I hate it that you cant switch the pokemon in your hand with a pokemon in one of the boxes before you place them. The previous games were able to do this. Even Pokemon colosseum and pokemon xd had a better pc system. And those titles arent even part of the original games. >.> But the added wallpapers were a plus. When there are so many available pokemon to capture in the new game, an improved pc is a must. I have over 600 stored pokemon right now in white. And it's a pain in the rear to try to organize them all.

Interesting.
But since it says Eevee will get a dragon type character, it seems a bit new for it to be a move by Gamefreak... it seems just too risky, and too soon, but we will find out tomorrow.
