SS4 Vegeta wins. Nova Shenron was able to keep up with SS4 Goku for a while, but he was spared by Goku's mercy. Vegeta is a lot more merciless. Final Flash GG.

nova knocked vegeta out in a single blast when he came back to help goku, and his attacks were strong enough to harm omega shenron, while vegeta and gokus efforts were wasted

That was more due to the type of attack (the super heating). SS4 Goku would've defeated Nova, Vegeta would have also. As meggabaut pointed out Vegeta fights mercilessly and he has the best nuke attack we've from the Z warriors (besides Spirit Bomb of course). And back in DBZ we saw he has a move to chain his opponent's in place. The fight would be close but we've just seen so much more from Vegeta over the years. Afterimage, ki chains, final flash GG.
