Lottery Tickets?

If you were/are old enough are you going to by Lottery Tickets

is it a waste of money
or
a Smart investment

(this is kinda a debatable topic)

I say no, because you have that chance to win. but it can also ruin your life. Is that worth taking? On the other hand if you do buy em, get the ones that are only for your state and try the big ones, then you have a better chance at winning if anything. It isn't worth getting the ones like Powerball, or megabucks.

Ahaha, I'd used to get a lot of lottery tickets every time my mother and I went to the grocery story when I was a kid. I was around 8 or so years old, we got the small ones like for 1$ or 5$.

Nowadays it's rare we even get any. I got a couple this christmas that still needs scratching...as well the ones from last christmas (which I just used them like bookmarks...oh the look my my mother's face!).

So eh, it depends. I have moderate luck where I'd win 20 bucks or so, not much but fun when you get one every once in a blue moon.

I think buying lotto tickets in moderation and not when you're in a time of desperation when you're feeling a little bit lucky is fine. And regardless of if you win or not, the people who spend their money on it did it by choice. More power to them.

Hell, if you win anything, you're just a bit richer than before.

I got one when I got back to the Uk after my sixteenth and sometimes my sister and I will share a few but very rarely cause your so unlikely to win :P

Financially speaking, I believe it's already been proven that buying lottery tickets are a waste of money based on statistics. But if you enjoy the game without it turning into an addiction, then the psychological benefits of having that hope of winning could make up for the financial loss.
