Sorry to be the one to say this, but just scanned after coming here with Microsoft Security Essentials...and it did found a trojan (was located in a Firefox folder in program files, according to my anti-virus)

At least its something a good scan by a good anti-virus program can take care of

Yeah, then again, for all it's worth, I could have gotten it elsewhere and found about it now

Still, to be sure, make sure you run a quick scan after getting in here, and make sure to if indeed a trojan appears, remove it using your anti virus, thankfully it's something that can be solved

That's what I was thinking,but my anti-virus only found them with a deep scan.

Yeah I still am unable to get on the forum through chrome or firefox. So i'm on IE.

i had the same warning but kaspersky pure did not give me any warning, i am using firefox but ignored the block

Ok so Chrome is still a no go for me. In fact I don't even have a link to continue at my own risk show up. I got on through Firefox but it popped up again when I went to go into a thread. I ignored it, but it is super slow to load.

- FINAL MALWARE UPDATE - Sorry about all that, (Username)! The issue of some Viz sites showing up as having Malware has been thoroughly dealt with. There was never any actual danger, it was mainly that some of our sites were being flagged as dangerous. It can take 24-48 hours for the notices to go away, but our sites are, and were, completely secure to browse at your leisure.

I'm not sure that everything is sorted. if members are stil reporting trojans coming from this site, then it seems whatever action was taken by SRhyse or Sage Mode didn't do anything. I'm going to put up a notice saying we are still getting reports about Trojans.

Also on my end, the whole sites page loads seem quite long at the moment, been like that since I logged in here earlier this evening for me.
I did check in with Google and the message still came up earlier, though I tend to use IE so I wouldn't have got that notice.

Give them a little time and the warning pages will go away. The slow loading pages are more likely the load balancer acting up. e.e Would explain why only half the smilies load.

Yes, it looks like the issue is that the warning pages just haven't gone away yet. 48 hours would be late tonight, I believe.

We were told late Wednesday by IT that the system causing the problem was disabled.

Out of curiosity, what was the actual problem generating the warning pages ? I think quite a lot of people would be happier knowing exactly what caused them to put their mind at ease

It doesnt matter what caused the problem. I myself would like to know what was wrong but the problem was addressed by VIZ and was already solved. This site was safe to browse from the beginning and is still safe so we dont have to worry about it anymore. Trust VIZ they know how to handle things.

Hmmm, it seems that for these warnings to go away, either SRhyse, Sage Mode or someone from Viz IT needs to sent a Malware Review for Google to confirm that the malware has indeed been removed. Unfortunately, you need to be signed up to Google Webmaster Tools to do this.
