Deidara vs Mei

So how would she close the distance? By running? Cuz deidara can do the same. He is faster than mei

The moment he takes it to the air Mei's chances of winning drop to zero. From the, the bombings begin.

Making C2 dragon would take time which means that Mei's got time to make a move. The smartest move would probably be to use the Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique whilst running so that she can close the distance and then fire away. This technique prevents Deidara from taking off to the sky.

I dont see how that would stop deidara from flying and bombing the .... out of her with c3.

In close-mid range mei is superior but deidara destructive power is overwhelming. Mei doesnt have the feats to tank or evade C3.

Who'd want a flood of descending lava on them? Mei's lava has a mid-long range which means that it would get over Deidara's head if she runs whilst Deidara is just standing still making his bombs. How's he gonna flee? By taking off to the sky? That would equal getting severly burned.

Yeah, because it took Deidara 'oh so long' to jump away from Gaara when their fight began at the Kazekage building and he's got a 50 meter distance to work with here. It doesn't take Deidara long to make his bombs and he can even send some her way to stall her while he's making others. The entire argument for Mei revolves around her stopping Deidara from getting off the ground which I just don't believe is going to happen with a 50m starting distance. Assuming Deidara really is as slow as you make him out to be, he could escape the attack you described by travelling underground as well.

It depends on who's the fastest really.I never said that Deidara was slow, we just don't know how fast Mei is yet. Yes, he can also travel underground, but he would eventually have to come up. Assuming he can travel as far as he wants underground, he can ascend very far away from Mei and start creating explosive clay. Being a long range fighter as well as fighting from the sky where he's pretty much untouchable from Mei's attacks, gives him a huge advantage and there's no doubt he'd win (unless Mei is fast enough to flee which would make Deidara the winner anyway). I'm just saying that we shoudn't assume that Mei is slower than Deidara.

I should have put a shorter distance, that would've made things more interesting.

Dediara is faster and can fly!!!!!

.Mei runs closer while making hand sign
Deiara gets on a clay bird and flies away
Mei does not close the distance in time (and even if she does Dediara can intercept her and cause her trouble by throwing bombs at her while she gets closer)
Dediara spams bombs from the sky THE END

Deidara has a dragon made out of explosive clay which can spit miniature versions of itself, a village nuking bomb and a bomb which disintegrate anything in its range.

They are starting on the ground and deidara's jutsu take time 50m isn't that far and she doesn't need to cover all that distance for him to be in range for her jutsu's. Once she's got Deidara he's lost. So if she reacted quick enough Mei has this.

Deidaras jutsu also dont take that long. Deidara usually whips out c3 in a couple of seconds/panels.

Seconds, your average person can run fifty metres in ten seconds as I said she doesn't need to run the full fifty add the fact that she would be faster than your average person she only needs a few seconds to get closer.

And then another few seconds to use a jutsu of any kind in which deidara will blow her up with the affore mentioned prepared c3.

Note that he also could use those few seconds to make a clay bird making mei a useless sitting duck.

She can form hand signs in movement, so the seconds to reach him and the seconds forming the jutsu are the same seconds.

Yes if Deidara goes airborn she has lost this.

Edit: after the bird is formed before it went airborn she could use her lava style, that would easily deform the clay rendering the bird useless.
