UPDATE: The User Image Album Feature

As some of you may know, the User Albums were intended for photos of the users only, but was experimented with freely within a short time after being implemented. We are now lifting the sole-intent of it being used for self-photos. That's right. The feature can now be used to upload miscellaneous photos again. So no more warnings are being given out due to harmless miscellaneous pictures being uploaded. However, now that you're allowed to upload miscellaneous pictures, this does not mean you can upload Viz-licensed content or any other inappropriate material, such as porn, vulgar, etc. The miscellaneous photos must be clean and abide the Sannin Forum Rules.

The basic requirements regarding the use of the User Album:

To be able to view albums:

5 posts or 10 reputation points

To be able to upload:

50 posts or 250 reputation points

To be able to comment:

~~Moderator, F.A.I.L. or higher~~

That's right. Being able to comment isnt for a specific group anymore. Regular users are able to comment as well; everyone.

If you meet the requirement to view, you can view the Recently Updated Albums or simply go to any user's profile. If they have images in their album it will show near the middle of their profile or under the Statistics tab.

If you meet the requirement to upload, there will be a new link listed as 'Pictures & Albums' in your User CP.

I'm assuming that they're still going to be moderated, then.
Also, are comments still going to be moderated?

Because if they're not, it's going to be rather difficult to keep track of.

so in other words we upload stuff like art work and meme base pictures right? I was hope add few of my artwork on here in album someday. like pokemon and other non viz anime.

Still moderation for uploads.
The comments are not being moderated. They're visible as they are posted, but still show up in the moderation tab.

I can keep track. We trust that the users will post appropriate comments, otherwise, we can place them under moderation before being visible to see.

As far as uploads go, I'm definitely glad that it's being moderated. But I don't know about comments. However, it is a pain in the ass to wait for people to see my comment, so I'm not complaining.

It's a bigger pain in the ass to try and approve every single comment

would it be easier to add few extra mods to approve them faster or few FAIL members as well.

Cool. I never knew that only user images could be posted in the first place, but it's nice to know that i'm not breaking the rules if I post my own drawings too. But 50 posts or 250 rep points seems a bit much to be able to upload to your album... I mean, I barely just hit like 10 or 11 posts and 3 rep points. Oh well, I'll get there eventually. Thanks for the help. You guys explain it so well!
