Its hard to explain how that works. pretty much as long as you balance a diet, you have the proper amount of energy and produce less lactic acid in your muscles which gives you better ability to workout, run , jog...do anything that requires physical activity and not feel run down or achy!
Also, its basic math that you max intake of the good while minimizing intake of the bad :-P

Fruits and vegetables can only play a certain role in physique. The general health of the body is an asset, because it shows that you are not overweight if you have a healthy diet/lifestyle. The main source of muscle repair, however, is protein consumption. a gram of protein per pound of body weight is the usual rate that most bodybuilders imply. Some even imply a gram and a half. This also highly depends on your weight. So for me I would take around 160-180 grams of protein a day through chicken, fish, and eggs, and sometimes protein shakes if I dont have the time to make a well cooked meal.
Obviusly working out is important for getting muscle. The only way to gain muscle is through working, but the diet is what factors out how much you gain. What you eat is just as important as your workout and that is what a lot of people fail to understand. How you workout is up to you. There are plenty of different setups for working out. The one that I have found to be the best setup over the past years though, is working out five times a week, about an hour to an hour and a half each workout. And they are not full body workouts, but different muscle groups each day. For instance: Monday=Chest/ tricepts Tuesday= Back/ Lats/ and a little bit of bicepts as back workouts involve that muscle. Example would be pull ins, pull ups etc. Wednesday= Legs Thursday= Shoulders Friday= Bicepts/ abs/ forearms.

Offcourse not its impossible to get ripped by just eating even if it was the healthiest food in the world.
Mine arent that large (well they are for my size but anyways) but they are quite strong Only way to get muscles is a balance of workout, rest in between and nutrition

I had an eating disorder and I was fit as hell.
You can't have muscles by eating certain food. But you can because of training at least 3 or 4 times in a week. Of course I recommend eating normally. Not saying I'm a normal example.

If you don't feed yourself right, the workout is pointless. There is a proper ratio of carbohydrates to protein you should take in to maximize the benefits of food! its hard to explain the concept exactly, but just eating right won't build muscle, it primes your body to do that when you workout. The better your nutrition, the better results you get out of the time working out, the worst you eat, the more time you waste at the gym because it won't do as much as it could.
I know so much about this stuff because I played club rugby in college, as well as participated in a local Kendo club Kiseki, eating disorders are no good

Well you have to have a good diet and have a good workout scheduel. You can take protien in to but it only works if you are working out. Try muscle confusion, YOu work multible parts to trick your muscle to work harder in creating or in scientific works grow your muscle cells. You have to be consistent with it though. unless your me and have a fast motabolisem you need to watch your diet and get the vitemans from the right food sorces. like white rice. or White meat chicken for protein or egg whites. if your like me then you need to eat a lot more to gain the weight.

Vegetables gives you different vitamins, which in return give you immunity to diseases, basically they make you healthier and you don't get viruses as often.
Proteins are the ones that have an impact in muscles. You need to eat a lot of food with sugar, proteins, even vitamins and then exercises, so you burn what you ate when you exercise. There are push-ups, sit-ups, weight-lifting, etc.
