It's not so much deserve death but no one deserves to live for ever both for something of great good or great evil.

But as far as death as a punishment is conserned there are some people I feel deserve death

But if you think about it,who deserves to die? How can you pass judgement on others? People say someone deserves death because of their sins. But then again,what is a sin? Is a sin something that you did wrong,or is it something that you did wrong throgh someone's eyes? Just because YOU thought that was a sin,does that person deserve to die?

Personal opinion is that if you believe all lives are of equal value if someone has taken more than one life and you can prove they will take more then they do deserve to die. However you can never judge that so it's better not to come to that conclusion

I don't think rapists or murderers should be killed. I don't believe we have the right to decide who lives and who dies.

That in no way justifies or defends what they did, I just don't feel we morally have the right to kill them or anyone.

But even if someone tried to kill me and if I didn't stop him he would've and I killed him in self defense I'd still say I was wrong for doing it as all human life is sacred.

Even though I believe that I'd still defend myself but only in defense and I'd try my hardest to make sure they didn't die or get permanently hurt.

Hard to explain.

I belive that a punishment must be as severe as the crime if not more!
the idea of a penalty system where years are taken from you as a punishment is outdated and broken most prisoners have a better life in jail then they did outside think about it: 3 meals a day , a hot bath every day, a room a gym
half the people in there would rather be in there then outside.
christ people can even get married in prison now aday!
A punishment must plant fear in the heart of criminals: killing someone should be met with death, rape-Sterilization and so on... but I've sidetracked so to answer the original question yes some people deserve death.

Sometimes its kinda hard to say whether people deserve it or not since it happens to us all anyways and when you think about it its not the worst thing that can happen in life.

No one deserves to die period. the only time anyone gets hung is if they commit a cruel murder. Any other crime should just be time behind bars

As for forced death in any way, no not really, I say let them live with their regrets and hardship, since that'll be enough torture, since your worst enemy is yourself.

If you MURDER someone you deserve to die.

Why?

It starts off with our inalienable rights.

Everyone starts off with the right to life.

No innocent person deserves to die a premature death.

Murders take away life.

The victim has had their right to life taken away.

The Murderer has STOLEN a life.

When you steal something you owe a debt that must be repaid.

The cost of taking an innocent life is your own life.

Very true indeed. It's like saying someone should die because they murdered someone. Does that mean soldiers at war who kill people don't deserve to die just because they were told to do it by the president (which by the way is only another human), and they're only doing their job? Many of the sins we are told we commit are just views of society, not moral views (and vica versa).... or am I wrong in saying this?
