Kakashi has the sharingan so he can copy any taijutsu ninjutsu or genjutsu except a gekegenkai which I think Gai has none so Kakashi can copy all of his moves. Kakashi already knows most of Gais move for Kakashi has fought Gai or have seen Gai fight already. This gives Kakashi the upper hand in a fight between Kakashi and Gai.

Just cuz Kakashi can copy does not mean it will be as strong as guys attack

Gais own attacks may be stronger thenKakashis copy of them but Kakashi knows them none the less and can predict Gais moves then change his own move accordingly.

honestly i think hirudora is useless here, kakashi can read his chakra remember, which means if guys chakra flares up, kakashi knows a big attack is coming, now to u prince

u never said guy starts in eight gates so by the time kakashi reveals sharingan guy is in 8 gates giving kakashi time while guy is powering up in 8 gates kakashi uses kamui and im pretty sure kakashi will have ms activated b4 he flips his headband,

Ok Gui uses Dynamic Injury a lot so if he was going to use it Kakashi could tell by the things Gui did before he preformed his Dynamic Injury so Kakashi knows the range and limitations of his taijutsu then gets out of range and per forms a long ranged ninjutsu like Fire Ball Jutsu

Bloodlusted means they have no restraint in killing, not that they act out of character. Pulling out their best moves to start a fight is something they wouldn't do for tactical reasons not emotional ones. And to everyone saying Kakashi Kamui's Hirudora, I think you are forgetting that the technique can apparently be used in two ways. In one form it takes the physical manifestation of a tiger and grabs onto a target while sending it flying before it explodes, this is what we saw against Madara. However, in the other form which was used on Kisame, the technique condenses into a highly pressurized and focused strike which hits a small area on the target, in other words unless Kakashi knows exactly where the strike will land he can't Kamui it away. I guess you could argue that by looking at Gai's hands he can see where he's aiming but that doesn't help much since it condenses after it's released and all Gai does is perform the handsigns to initiate the attack.

Kakashi could just open up a huge dimensional gate and Kamui away the entire tiger but look what happened after he Kamui'd away Bee's tentacle, even with the Kyuubi buff he couldn't even stand afterwards. Gai on the other hand has been shown to still be able to fight for a short time after using the 7 gates.

That is not a good example on my part cuz it took Kakashi a while to kaumi that away and hidoura is more powerful than that explosion clone

As guy obviously stated hirudora is not chakra hence it could beat kisame chakra eating shark missle.

Read the last two pages of chp608 it was an instant attack that did damage to the ground as well . Do you think guy will fall for an attack that got a nube like saskue ? Kakashi was barely trying . Overall Kakashi would get caught in hidoura even if he went underground cuz the attack covers a wide area and destroyed most of the ground

People! Kakashi and Gai at this point are equal in my mind. It really depends on who can correctly land there most powerful attacks. but here is the thing. Gai can kill Kakashi just with his punches and kicks in Gated mode. Kakashi will have to use Kamui to kill Gai because nothing else will touch him, he is just too fast.

Kakashi is a fighting genius! he would use clones to confuse Gai but considering the amount of times they went up against each other, im not sure if Kakashi would win because of his clones. he would need more than that to win. I would say Gai would win more times than Kakashi mainly because Gai has more ways to kill his opponents than Kakashi does. Kamui is not getting Gai or Absorbing Gai's AT, its too huge. His base AT was even bigger than Madara's Susanoo!

the way i see it is that in the end. Gai would defeat Kakashi because of a combination of Morning Peacock and Afternoon Tiger. Kakashi in no way how can Kamui back to back insanity attacks thats coming at him with tremendous force!

Finally someone who gets it. Kishi DESIGNED these characters to be equal so people of the respective fandoms can constantly war over who's stronger with no clear answer possible and not enough evidence to reach a conclusion. Why can't people just accept a tie.
