What if he has some psychological condition?
Some people do get very angry without them controlling it. (PDD NOS, Schizophrenia?)
Or what if he is incredibly apathetic due some serious depression?
I mean... I know we all think it is beyond wrong what he did.
But I also think he should be treated for whatever problem he has.

Once more: Not defending him. Just wondering why he acted like that.
It completely interests me. Why would you sleep after that?
Maybe he was in a state of shock and wanted it to be a weird nightmare.
But the fact that he had discussed it with his partner is disturbing.
To me thats the final clue that its nothing like PDD NOS or something like that.
I think he really needs a psychiatrist because he looks mentally unhealthy (in polite words).

He probably did have some mental issue but it really seemed as if this was planned.

They were having problems to make ends meet and apparently with further examination the baby was dead for longer then the parents claimed.

Seems like they just wanted to get rid of the baby.
