List of manga episodes that were not in the anime
Hi guys, I watched the anime and I discovered the manga not too long ago. Just wondering what I've missed in relation to mange episodes that weren't in the anime (or that is extra from the anime).

Well, everything in the manga is in the anime, but since Kishimoto writes manga chapter shorter than anime episodes, they have to add extra scenes or even arcs called fillers.
Fillers allow the manga to get a certain distance ahead of the anime, so it won't catch up and not have any material to animate.

You missed nothing, other than the manga may ruin your liking for the Anime, as most of us in TB here only watch the Anime to see things that wasn't in the Manga, such as 7NS fights, and for fights that were badly interpreted by Kishi in the Manga, such as this weeks chapter, and various other recent fights.

I started with the anime with episode 1 of shippuden about three years ago. powered through to the pain arc in like 2-3 months. I started the manga after the kage summit arc. I thought the anime was better, until recently. Now the anime sucks because the war is so drawn out, especially the beginning.
just finished the naruto (part 1)manga a few weeks ago. That was a nice side project for 3-4 months.

Ok thanks guys, I thought that there might have been a few extra bits in the manga that weren't in the anime, but I guess I'm wrong

Naruto is a case of Anime being actually animated Manga plus more in-depth details and/or bonuses.
I'd hate if Naruto was like Shaman King, where Anime and Manga were totally out of sync in some points - you basically had TWO separate alternative stories going on, like an AU fanfic of itself.  Also, I loved most fillers of the PAST, but since I'm very recent to Manga, the current NEW filler made me cringe - I want more Manga-related stuff to watch! |
