All I know so far is that there is this new kid who has the element of wood that is very similar to Omi

new voice actors for a lot of the characters but Omi keeps his only voice actor

The name change thing is pretty lame. I don't know how that sort of copyright stuff works, but they couldn't even let the names be passed on? Greedy...

The art in the image looks different at least. I don't know if that'll stay the same in the actual animation, but so far, not looking good.

However, all in all, I'm kind of excited to see the legacy passed down. They better not screw it up.

I heard about this a few months ago and overall I'm still pretty excited about it, and interested in seeing how it'll turn out despite the changes. I'm worried about the voice changes but I'll remain optimistic on that until the series begins.

This is awesome. Xiaolin Showdown was one of my favorite shows, even though I'm not a big fan of it ending with Raymundo becoming the grand dragon, whereas Omi was not only a better martial artist, with more discipline, and mastery of his element, but an orphan who trained in the temple with monks his entire life. I hope they change that little element of it.

But Omi didn't mature as much as Raimundo did, Omi simply kept putting him down when Raimundo was the last to move up to apprentice. Here's why I agree with Raimundo becoming Shoku Warrior:
1) We all know girls like Kimiko wouldn't be the leader
2) We haven't seen much from Clay in the original, except maybe in two episodes and that's it; he's more of a background character to me
3) Omi doesn't have that sense of responsibility or maturity to take on the role of leader
4) We all know Raimundo developed the most over the course of the series, especially in the last season

1) Even Kimiko was more efficient that Raymundo, and I don't know if it was your intention but that comment came off really sexist.

2) I agree Clay wouldn't have been a good choice

3) Are you saying Raymundo was some sort of icon for responsibility. He messed up more than Omi did and BOTH of them grew and matured from their mistakes.

4) It has nothing to do with maturing, Raymundo HAD to mature the most, he didn't have a choice it was either that or get left behind, he didn't have the skill or the discipline. Omi literally was the chosen one. He had it all: natural skill, the will to fight, humility in defeat, and easily the most impressive thing which is what solidly put him over Raymundo for me...he was pure of heart. Omi was so pure that even when he got his entire body taken over by evil (unlike Raymundo who voluntarily and consciously fought his friends) he still remained playful and wouldn't harm the team.

Making Raymundo the leader was the series's attempt at a plot twist. They wanted to keep the viewer entertained and give the plot some depth but they just chose the wrong way to do it. It's like all the fools (some of them on this site) who say Sasuke should be Hokage. The reward for the fallen is redemption and sometimes forgiveness, not praise and honor.

I remeber when Raymundo suced at using that wind sword

I am glad he was picked it was a tottaly twist and he grew the most and Omi got annyonying and he thought he was the best

I was happy with the twisted ending. True,
Omi has prepared his whole life for this but he also had a sense of arrogance. At least Ray understands his flaws. I see it as him winning that internal conflict with himself.
