It just didn't fit as it was. If Obito would have been written differently in Kakashi Gaiden, it would have made sense, but that wasn't the case. Having Rin be the event that caused Obito to kill his master, wreck the village etc..all for what? a girl he had a crush on that didn't acknowledge him that way, even in death (she was going to profess her love to Kakashi)...Its just senseless! If he found out something like his clan set up his death or something like that, a terrible betrayal led him to where he was...THAT would have put him in the right place and even would have tied him to Madara even better...

I was going to be OK with Obito being Tobi, but the explanation is WEAK...that's the problem here.

Kalmeast, I agree with you 100%, Kishi just doesn't get it that love doesn't make the world go around... of course it got it going, but it's really just perspective that makes the earth rotate.
Kishi's perspective has shifted from the real, to the un-digested.

Have you noticed in the latest chapters? His increasing numbers of panels where a girls butt is shown.
Mei, Fu, Yugito, Anko.

I doubt he is getting any of that... well, maybe that was his reward for giving in to his wife

His success is something to be discussed a different time PoPs, no need to start glorifying the man before he has been given the opportunity to fail.

everything... Kishi hadn't planned to introduce kushina and Minato as he did until he got married and got a child. Their love for the kid influenced that part of the story. it wasn't initially supposed to be like that... But yea, it was successful.

But kishi is just caught up in this love web that he thinks can be a good explanation for everything... which is failing in the case of Obito and Rin. So HIS WIFE is playing a role...

Regardless... TO THE MOD... why move this thread.. I mean it contains some spoilers in some of the posts... You don't think i knew ppl were gonna include spoilers? that's why it was originally in the TB... come on!

Kishi said in an interview one time (don't have a link, sorry, I'd post one if I did) that marriage impacted his view of family and the importance of having a family. The decision to introduce Kushina and Minato as Naruto's parents and have them play a major role in the story is likely a result of his getting married.
Other than that, do you honestly think Kishi turns to his wife for advice on how the plot should go? Do you think he talks to his wife every time he has writer's block?" Like, "Hey sweetie! You know that Obito guy? Do you think I should make him Tobi?" Getting married may have changed some of Kishi's perspectives and emphases, but it wouldn't change the story.

^ man, u're clueless.... there was one particular chapter where the publishers had one of zetsu's goo on the page but neither zetsu nor tobi were present in that chapter... so think deep...where'd u think that came from...

That' white goo was original dude...it came from kishi himself...he writes these manga's while his wife is getting busy on his 3rd leg,.... so don't tell me she doesn't know what kishi is doin?
