I was reading " Children of the Lost" about a week ago. Good book, author is David Whitley.
Also, " The Enemy." A zombie book about kids having to survive because all the adults turned into zombies. Good book. xD *Sucks at reviewing books ._.

Pretty fond of The Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R. Lawhead.
his writing style is so similar to Tolkien's... descriptive-ness!

unfortunately I was unable to finish Big Money by PG Wodehouse, it was not a Jeeves and Wooster story so I found it difficult to get into. I'm not saying it was a bad story but well I wanted Jeeves and Wooster. Actually I've never really read Wodehouse before and since I like the Jeeves and Wooster tv series I thought the books would be good too. But darn it all they seem to be rarities.

The Dwarves- Markus Heitz
It's about dwarves, big shock. Standard fantasy setting, but now the heroes are dwarves as it always should be. There are humans, elves and mages but they play a minor role. The Dwarves do dwarven things to save the land, except mining. That'd what this book lacks. Hope it's there for the next round. The writing itself is pretty good, although it is translated from German. The story is pretty refreshing, not only from the unique perspective, but the villain is interesting and there is even a side villain with his own ends. So good stuff. I'd suggest any fantasy nuts check it out especially if you are sick of elves. Next up: The Blade Itself. |

I finished reading Tattoine Ghost last week.
It's part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe and it's written by Troy Denning whom in my opinion is a brilliant author. This book was great, not your typical Star Wars novel but the descriptions and story were awesome. It really felt like you was a part of the novel. This was a totally refreshing take on the Star Wars universe and i would highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to try something that isn't just about lightsabers and the 'Force'.

Oh I forgot this one
A Dance with Dragons- George R.R. Martin This is the fifth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. As most of you may know the first book, A Game of Thrones, is the titular inspirartion for the HBO series Game of Thrones. As many people may want to get into this, I won't say much about the plot. Only that the characters not in A Feast for Crows appear here as well as the previous characters near the end. This installment is much better( and much, much longer) than A Feast for Crows as the more interesting characters are contained within. Right near the beginning there is a major plot twist, which you likely would not guess. It's good and really opens up the possibilities about how the final two book will end it out. There are a number of cliff hangers at the end of this, but they don't seem to pack as much punch as the first three books. Really, this novel seems to scream opt for another set of chapters to really end it, even if this book is monstrously long as it is Excited for the next book. Hopefully, Martin won't keep us waiting another six years. I have high hopes for the following year's Christmas. |

Last book I finished was
Against All Enemies by Tom Clancy Good but not as good as Rainbow Six imo. I kinda felt the Islamic Jihadist Terrorist plot was kinda just thrown in there and wasn't as interesting as the stuff with the Cartel. Moore is a gloomier character than any of the Rainbow Six members were and he thus doesn't seem as invincible (which was one of the reasons Rainbow Six is so awesome.) Clancy villains don't usually seem to have a lot of depth (The heroes are the focus after all) but the Islamic Jihadist Terrorists just felt too cartoony. I think the story would have been better if it was just left to dealing with the Cartel because that was the interesting part of the story. I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

If you are reading Tom Clancey books, I'd highly suggest Red Rabbit. My favorite of his newer ones.

I haven't got into it yet since I was reading Stan Lee's How to Write Comics which is good if you want a lot of professional opinions, history and commentary but is less about the actual teaching. It's a sorta more of an inspirational book than a lesson book.

Sorta Like A Rockstar by Matthew Quick
(I'm not good at reviews so bear with me >.>) It's about a girl known as The Princess of Hope who loses her hope and falls into depression after a major tragedy affects her life. The main character, Amber Appleton, is an inspirational character because of her view of life and how she treats everyone. There are flashbacks leading up to the tragedy, which makes the tragedy that much more emotional. There are also some memorable qoutes in the story. True? True. I give it an 8/10 So yeah, that's my review xD

Last book I read was Looking For Alaska.
I really loved the book. It's about a kid named Miles and he goes to a boarding school so he can find his "Great Perhaps." There he meets his new roommate, nicknamed "The Colonel," and his friend, Alaska. He develops a crush on Alaska and stuff happens and yeah. The first half of the book is "Before" and the second half is "After." Sorry for the suckish review lol.

Reading it for my English class but I'm really enjoying it so far. It's got a really odd plot and hopefully it keeps my interest or this is going to be a long quarter.

I'm reading looking for Alaska to so far it is really good.
I would suggest Divergent by Veronica Roth, it reminds me of the hunger games a bit. It about this girl, Triss. It's in an AU where when your sixteen you can chose one of four fractions possibly abandoning your family in doing so, it's hard to explaining without blowing the plot but it's really good.

I have to say it was Anything But Typical by Nora Raleigh Baskin, because it really captured the life of a non-nuerotypical , Jason Blake (by non-nuerotypical, I mean someone who's autistic), and it was easy for me to identify with him. Though the author didn't specifically say what kind of autism he has, I can understand what he feels.

I just finished That was then, this is now. - S.E Hinton.
About two guys, Bryon and Mark. They are best friends. But when Bryon gets a girlfriend - it goes downward from there. She has a little brother who gets into the street negatives and apparently Mark has. somethingvto do with it. So who is more important, his best friend who he considers a brother, or his girlfriend? Dun dun dunnn. The ending got me pissed though. < _ <
