Let's face it. Power scales in Bleach are inconsistent. Someone like Yamamoto who was considered as the definite strongest of his universe in one chapter was casually killed with just a single hit in the next.

Yamamoto WAS the definite strongest of the universe
until we learned that the Quincies still existed.
Also remember he's not in his prime according to Yhwach

And he wasn't casually killed with a single hit.

He was casually killed in a single hit after depleting his bankai on a fake
and then having his bankai stolen immediately by the real deal.

Because frankly, Bleach has a horrible pace. Now that would have been all fine and dandy if it had retained an interesting and thought-out plot, i.e. The Soul Society Arc, but this is not the case. No, this is definitely not the case.

The Quincies were exterminated to a point where they were considered as an endangered species, and by the Shinigami no more. Going by the notion that they had somehow kept themselves hidden from Soul Society for hundreds of years is nothing more than just a cheap-ass, predictable excuse to write off their survival and how they're now much more superior to the Shinigami.

Prime Yamamoto wasn't able to kill Bach either apparently. And I highly doubt that a few hundred years of relative peace has made him that much weaker than before. It's not like he was shogi under the garden tree every day while developing an Alzheimer's.

Speaking of strongest, being that Yamamoto is dead, Aizen now would be the strongest character alive in Bleach, until Ichigo gets his upcoming power boost, right?

I actually can see BOTH Aizen and the Zero Guard helping Ichigo, especially if it were to turn out (and knowing Kubo this could very well happen, for a reason he re-inserted him in the story) Aizen was behind helping the Quincy remain hidden, there has to be more weight than ''he would have been a powerful asset'' in Juhabach trying to convince Aizen to join him

and I think I can dare say this now, WE COULD end up getting a final Ichigo Vs Aizen 2 as the final battle of Bleach, not saying it will, but could be

True. The pacing is bad.

I think Soul Society Arc is awesome. But way overrated.

Soul Society Arc is really just a tournament arc in disguise.

WITH AIZEN TWIST.

Arrancar Saga and Fullbring and 1000 Blood Year War arc are all just
as good as Soul Society Arc or even better.

a prediction. When did you predict that the final arc would

I don't think Aizen is the strongest in the sense of Kenpachi strong
but he has the most powerful Zanpakatou as far as effectiveness.

I don't think Masaki is a Quincy.

A new popular theory is that Ichigo is the actual son of Juhabach that died 1000 years ago, reincarnated in the SS as Kaien.

Ichigo though, was reborn in the actual world per Masaki and Isshin but still within him slept the memories of having been a Quincy that now reawakened.

The arc wasn't just battles and Aizen. It also had a genuine emotional concept, for one.

Arrancar Saga was bleh during the second half, where it just degraded into a series of constant battles, Momo trolling, and random Aizen twists.

The first half of the Fullbring Arc was great. The second half... not so much. If only Kubo had continued building on the pressure that he had before the Shinigami showed up, then it probably would have surpassed the Soul Society Arc in terms of being the series' best storyline.

If he was stronger than Yamamoto, then why didn't he kill him then? If anything, that'd be a better alternative than to having his whole race nearly rendered extinct and the rest being exiled to spent the better part of a thousand or so years rummaging for random caves and ice fortresses to live in at the Hueco Mundo Real Estate Center.

Nope. It was set from the moment that Bach had entered the scene that Ichigo would be the one to beat him. No one's idiotic enough to argue that Yamamoto, in any scenario, would have been able to beat Bach. This is Bleach, after all. However, what I was hoping for was more in the sense of realism and consistency, not the lame rolfstomp that killed Yama.

She was also responsible for giving Ichigo his Vizard and Fullbring powers. And technically developing that Hollow side of him, or Shirosaki.

In other words, every power that Ichigo ever has had descended from his bloodline and or heritage. And yes, that also includes the Shinigami aspect of it; having his powers awakened by Rukia was only a jump-start. Chances are that he would have eventually woken his powers on his own over time, as Karin did with hers'.

Well, I believe he wasn't stronger than Yamamoto, the only real reason he could kill him has the sheer fact that Yamamoto got overconfident; he thought Bach could not steal his Bankai because he did not know its full extent however that was false. Instantly he had his Bankai stolen and soon sliced in two.

Of course though, it was obvious Kubo would make it all up to Ichigo, which I dislike. This one human is stronger than the whole Soul Society? I don't buy it, but that's what is being sold.

It's a battle manga. I want battles.
Momo is momoron who deserves to get trolled.
Aizen twists are awesome. You never know what craziness will happen.

I agree that the Soul Reapers returning was a bit of a let down.
I wanted to go more in depth with Ginjo and Tsukishima.
But everyone has to keep complaining about "when does
Ichigo get his soul reaper powers back" Sheesh.

But I liked that the battles were kept short
and Ichigo actually won this time.
Of course he had to get the power of friendship...
(Which I thought was lame).

Ok. Good. So you do realize Yama can't beat Yhwach storywise.
But I don't get this "realism and consistency" part. I mean you
realize you're reading a manga about flying spirit people with
magical swords with flashy attacks who receive fatal wounds
like it's going out of fashion? Bleach isn't exactly realistic.

Yama wasted his energies on a fake and then get his bankai
stolen right after. I say him getting "lame roflstomp" actually
makes SENSE. I know you probably think Yama is stupid
for using his bankai. But remember it worked on Lloyd

Who says Ichigo's mom is a "powerful" Quincy in the first place?
Just because Ichigo is powerful (well compared to say Renji)
doesn't mean she's going to be. Byakuya was a strong captain
but Rukia isn't all that great.

There's plenty of possibilities to explain the situation.
Remember that there was a time when Ichigo didn't
know it was a Hollow that killed his mom.
So you never know what will happen.
